Les barres de protection antichute et les rails de guidage auxiliaires pivotent et sont mis dans une position rabattue, et la plaque de lit qui possède les roulettes est guidée par les rails de guidage et les rails de guidage auxiliaires quand on transfère le patient qui ne peut pas se déplacer librement vers un autre lit, ce qui améliore la qualité du transfert du patient.
