Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de localiser un émetteur à l'aide d'un récepteur qui comprend, non exclusivement, les étapes consistant à émettre une pluralité de signaux distinctifs à polarisation orthogonale à partir d'un émetteur ; recevoir les signaux émis au niveau de deux antennes séparées ; démoduler les signaux distinctifs orthogonaux reçus au niveau de chacune des deux antennes séparées ; et déterminer une direction à destination de l'émetteur des signaux reçus au niveau des deux antennes. Le système permettant de déterminer la localisation d'un émetteur à l'aide d'un récepteur comprend, non exclusivement, un émetteur conçu pour émettre orthogonalement une pluralité de signaux distinctifs ; un récepteur comprenant deux antennes séparées et conçu pour recevoir les signaux émis orthogonalement ; des démodulateurs séparés situés dans le récepteur de chacune des deux antennes séparées et conçus pour démoduler les signaux distinctifs ; et des circuits de traitement de signaux situés dans le récepteur et conçus pour utiliser les signaux distinctifs démodulés de manière à déterminer une direction à destination de l'émetteur.
