VENTILATION DEVICE FOR WINDOWS WITH AIR PURIFYING FUNCTION
The present invention relates to a ventialtion device for windows, and particularly to a ventilation device for windows with an air purifying function, which has a heat exchange unit for discharging indoor air to an outdoor space and introducing outdoor air into an indoor space and also has the air purifying function.
Recently, awareness about the importance of indoor environmental and air quality is being grown according to an increase in indoor activity time and a tendency that buildings stand close together. In a residential type, such as apartments and officetels, that high-rise buildings stand close together, there is difficulty in opening wondows due to worries about introduction of foul outdoor air. Therefore, a degradation of indoor air quality is unavoidable unless separate ventilating means is provided.
As one of the conventional ventilating means, there has been developed and sold an air cleaner for purifying indoor air contained various pollutants such as exhasut gas and fine dust. However, the air cleaner functions to purify the polluted indoor air introduced through a window and the like and then simply circulate the purified air in a room while blocking the introduction of fresh external air. Thus, there is doubt as to effectiveness of the air cleaner.
To solve the problem, there is disclosed a window type ventilation device in Korean Patent Laid-Open No.10-2008-89001 (hereinafter, called as "first reference"). The window type ventilation device declosed in the first reference is disposed in a mullion of a window and door frame and also includes a cross-flow fan and a heat exchanger. The cross-flow fan functions to introduce outdoor air through an upper portion of the mullion into an indoor space and also to discharge indoor air through a lower protion of the mullion to an outdoor space. The heat exchanger receives a heat exchange medium such as ethylene glycol and glycerin glycol and extends along a extension direction of the mullion. Heat exchange between the introduced air and the discharged air is carried out by up and down reciprocating movement of the heat exchange medium.
