Abstract
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for dissolution of air or pure oxygen, which maintains air or pure oxygen supplied to and dissolved in raw water, at a maximally saturated state, and thus maximizes the solubility of air or pure oxygen, to thereby enable water having a high concentration of impurities/waste and sewage to be processed with excellence and at reduced installation and operating costs. For this purpose, the method and apparatus for gas dissolution according to the present invention are configured such that a reaction tank is formed into a sealed structure sealed off from atmosphere, and raw water to be treated fills the reaction tank up to a predetermined water level such that a space is formed in an upper portion of the reaction tank. Then, air or pure oxygen in a microbubble state is supplied to the raw water to be treated. The pressure in the space formed in the reaction tank, which varies in accordance with the release of the air or pure oxygen dissolved in the raw water, is maintained at a constant level in consideration of the solubility of air or pure oxygen.
