Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé pour l'exploitation de chaumes, qui comprend une étape préalable de conditionnement du chaume comportant les opérations de récolte et de dessèchement par séparation de la paille et des porte-graines; d'obtention de deux fractions selon qu'elles correspondent à une foliole ou à la moelle, respectivement; et de découpe de la paille afin d'obtenir une fraction de faible densité et une autre fraction de haute densité à partir de laquelle sont ultérieurement obtenues deux fractions suivantes selon qu'elles correspondent à de la moelle ou à de la fibre, et une étape d'exploitation, dans laquelle au moins une partie des fractions de foliole est brûlée afin d'obtenir de l'énergie calorifique, une partie de la fraction de fibre est destinée à l'obtention d'une pâte à papier et d'alcool et de lignine en tant que sous-produits, et une partie des fractions de moelle obtenues est destinée à la fabrication d'aliments pour animaux et les parties des fractions non utilisées pour l'obtention des produits indiqués sont employées pour l'obtention d'alcool et/ou d'aliments pour animaux.
