Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Lasersystem mit einem passiv gütegeschalteten Laser (1), einem spektral verbreiternden Element (3) und einem Kompressionselement (4). Lasersysteme dieser Art werden zur Erzeugung ultrakurzer Laserpulse verwendet. Die im Stand der Technik bekannten Systeme, modengekoppelte Festkörperlaser, ermöglichen die Erzeugung von Laserpulsen im sub-10 ps-Bereich nur mit komplizierten und justageempfindlichen Freistrahlbauten. Es ist daher Aufgabe der Erfindung, ein Lasersystem zu schaffen, welches Pulsdauern unter 10 ps erzeugt und zugleich einfach und kompakt zu fertigen ist. Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe schlägt die Erfindung vor, dass der passiv gütegeschaltete Laser (1) eine longitudinal einmodige Ausgangsstrahlung aufweist, welche mittels des spektral verbreiternden Elementes (3) durch Selbstphasenmodulation spektral verbreitert und durch das Kompressionselement (4) zeitlich komprimiert wird.
