Abstract

An apparatus (200) and method (300) are disclosed for tamper-proofing two-dimensional, optical, computer readable bar codes, including QR Codes (102). QR Codes, like traditional bar codes, contain computer readable content not cognizable by the human mind. The present invention teaches means of securing this content from would-be thieves and forgers motivated to overlay authorized, original content with unauthorized, replacement content.
