Abstract

The present application discloses a mechanical articulation assembly that can be used for an orthosis, exoskeleton, robot and prosthesis, which will have an application in any system for aiding mobility, for muscle support, for rehabilitation of motor skills, and for amplification and reproduction of natural movements. This assembly turns around a kinematic plan that is able to permit the same movements as the natural articulation, by surrounding the latter by placing the mechanical elements opposite the natural elements (Figure 2). The mechanical system uses, as initial base, the movement in space of a plane formed by two spars forming a parallelepipedal, joining two distinct elements, for example on one side the torso and on the other side the arm. Each link to the ends of the spars (2 and 3), permitting the rotation in at least one of the three axes, will be able to be mounted on a "plane" positioning system in order to amplify the movement of the articulation (4 and 5).
