Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Aktivität des Parasympathikus oder des Sympathikus des autonomen Nervensystems eines Lebewesens, insbesondere eines Menschen, bei dem ein Zustandsmerkmal des Lebewesens bestimmt wird und aus dem Zustandsmerkmal die Aktivität bestimmt wird. Erfindungsgemäß wird die Aktivität des Parasympathikus und/oder des Sympathikus in Abhängigkeit von der Zeit bestimmt. Zweckmäßigerweise ist das Zustandsmerkmal eine Folge von Herzschlägen des Lebewesens und die Aktivität wird unter Analyse der zeitlichen Abstände der Herzschläge bestimmt. Dazu wird vorzugsweise eine Herzfrequenzmessung des Lebewesens erstellt und der Herzschlag anhand erster positiver Ausschläge einer Herzkammerregung (R-Ausschlag) bestimmt. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner eine Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens.
