En émettant le message depuis le terminal pour indiquer que le terminal a abandonné la porteuse principale, la station de base détermine le temps pendant lequel le service de diffusion individuelle ne sera pas planifié sur la même porteuse pour ce terminal, ce qui permet de remédier au problème selon lequel la station de base ne peut pas déterminer si le terminal a abandonné la porteuse principale, et cela permettant de planifier de façon raisonnable le service de diffusion individuelle et d'économiser les ressources constituées par les porteuses principales.
