Abstract
La présente invention a trait à système de collecte et de stockage d'énergie solaire et à un procédé permettant de collecter et de stocker de l'énergie solaire. Le système comprend un dispositif permettant de concentrer l'énergie solaire dans une chambre de réaction en vue d'obtenir une conversion d'un hydrure métallique en métal liquide et en hydrogène, une chambre d'hydrure métallique/de métal contenant un mélange d'hydrure métallique/de métal, un système de stockage d'hydrogène utilisant des hydrures et une thermocline pour récupérer l'énergie thermique provenant de l'hydrogène lorsqu'il est refroidi pour passer de 2 000 °F à des conditions ambiantes afin de le stocker.
