Abstract
The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for generating superheated steam using solar energy and a steam generator based on the natural circulation concept. Superheated steam, which is used to drive a steam turbine, for example, is generated in multiple stages within a water pipe, i.e. by preheating, evaporating, and superheating feed water. The thermal energy required for said process is supplied by a heat transfer medium heated using solar energy. In order to be able to more efficiently generate superheated steam, tube bundles are used, inter alia. Furthermore, a plurality of steam generators are connected in parallel for use in larger steam generator units.
