Abstract

Es wird ein Ultraschallwandler (110) zum Einsatz in einem fluiden Medium (126) vorgeschlagen. Der Ultraschallwandler (110) umfasst mindestens ein Gehäuse (112), insbesondere eine Hülse. Das Gehäuse (112) weist mindestens einen Innenraum (118) auf. In dem Innenraum (118) ist mindestens ein Wandlerkern (120) mit mindestens einem elektrisch-akustischen Wandlerelement (122) aufgenommen. Das Gehäuse (112) weist eine den Wandlerkern (120) zumindest teilweise umschließende Gehäusewand (114) mit mindestens einem Hohlraum (146) auf.
