Definitions

  • the invention relates to a pneumatic vehicle tire having two or more belt layers which have an intersecting strength element at an angle and a belt bandage having single or multi-layer reinforcing elements.
  • Radial pneumatic tires have u.a. a belt and often a belt bandage on.
  • the belt consisting of two or more belt layers crossing at an angle provides the rigidity of the tread in the longitudinal and transverse directions. This is used when driving the power transmission, improves the side guide and reduces the abrasion of the tire.
  • Belt bandage essentially serves to additionally absorb forces in the circumferential direction, for example to limit the tire growth due to centrifugal forces during operation of the tire.
