Abstract

Des appareils peuvent rester synchronisés avec un réseau par l'intermédiaire d'un signal de balise émis à un intervalle défini. Des activités liées aux communications peuvent être planifiées parmi les cas où des signaux de balise sont attendus, également connus sous le nom de temps d'émission de balise cible (TBTT, pour Target Beacon Transmission Time). Les créneaux d'analyse, qui sont les périodes au cours desquelles des appareils peuvent effectuer une analyse passive, peuvent être planifiés sur la base d'un multiple entier d'un intervalle de signal de balise du réseau. Les appareils peuvent, lorsqu'ils constatent un créneau d'analyse, choisir soit d'utiliser le créneau d'analyse, soit de participer à l'émission de balises sur le réseau. Dans des exemples de scénarios dans lesquels les appareils choisissent d'utiliser les créneaux d'analyse, les appareils peuvent préparer un message d'information du réseau puis passer dans un mode d'analyse passif. Les appareils peuvent rester dans le mode d'analyse passif pendant la durée du créneau d'analyse, ne réagissant que lorsque des messages sont reçus de dispositifs extérieurs au réseau par émission du message d'information du réseau.
