Abstract

본 발명은 공간적 예측장치 및 그 예측방법, 그것을 이용한 영상 부호화 장치 및 방법, 및 영상 복호화 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 영상 부호화 장치는, 방향적 인트라 예측모드와 함께 템플릿 매칭 모드를 사용하여 대상 블록에 대한 예측을 실행하며, 그 중 레이트-왜곡에 기반하는 비용이 가장 낮은 모드를 선택하는 공간적 예측 실행부; 및 공간적 예측 실행부에 의해 템플릿 매칭 모드가 선택된 경우, 템플릿 매칭 모드에 의해 예측되는 영상의 잔차 신호에 대하여 정수변환을 실행하는 정수변환 실행부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명에 의하면, 비디오 부호화에서 인트라 예측의 정확성 및 효율성을 높이면서도 오버헤드의 증가를 최소화할 수 있게 된다.
