Abstract

The invention relates to a device for determining the pressure distribution below a saddle (2) on the back of a horse. A saddle pad (11) comprises at least two pressure detection zones (13). The pressure detection zones (13) each comprise a flat carrier (15) formed of at least two different hard materials (16, 17) for distributing pressure. The harder material (16) faces the saddle (2) and the softer material (17) faces the back of the horse. Each pressure detection zone (13) is associated with at least one sensor (18). The sensor (18) is disposed such that said sensor detects a compressive force on the harder material (16). The invention further relates to an indicator device (4) for indicating the current state of the pressure distribution.
