Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Rotationsviskosimeter mit einer mit vorgegebener Drehzahl rotierbaren Messwelle (25), einem von dieser getragenen, in eine Probe absenkbaren Messteil (3) und einer Detektionseinheit zur Ermittlung des Verdrehungswinkels des Messteils (3) gegenüber dem angetriebenen Teil der Messwelle (25). Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass in die Messwelle (25), vorzugsweise in ihrem motornahen Abschnitt, ein tordierbares Element (2) eingesetzt ist, dass die Detektionseinheit (17, 18, 24) mit der Welle mitbewegt wird und die Relativverdrehung bzw. den Verdrehungswinkel zwischen dem bezüglich des tordierbaren Elementes (2) motorseitig gelegenen Wellenteil (9) und dem messteilseitig gelegenen Wellenteil (10) ermittelt und dass die Ausgangssignale der Detektionseinheit (17, 18, 24) als Basis zur Ermittlung der Viskosität der Probe einer Auswerteeinrichtung (13) zugeführt sind.
