Abstract

The invention relates to a rotor (4) of an electric machine. The rotor (4) comprises a plurality of permanent magnets (12) embedded in a rotor core (13) and arranged in radial direction for flux concentration. The rotor further comprises a winding (14) arranged at respective positions of the rotor (10) where leakage of the magnetic flux around one magnet tip is generated, and a power supply (20, 21, 22) to provide current to control the winding (14) to control the leakage flux.
