Abstract

본 발명에 의한 플라즈마 디스플레이 사인보드는, 일면에 방전 공간이 음각되어 마련된 제 1 기판, 방전 공간에서의 방전을 유도하기 위해 제 1 기판의 일면과 대향하는 타면에 적층되는 제 1 방전 전극, 방전 공간을 밀폐하기 위해 제 1 기판의 일면에 결합되는 투명한 제 2 기판, 제 1 방전 전극과 함께 방전 공간에서의 방전을 유도하기 위해 제 1 기판과 제 2 기판의 사이에 개재되는 제 2 방전 전극, 가시광선을 발생하기 위해 방전 공간의 바닥에 도포되는 형광물질, 형광물질을 여기 시키기 위해 방전 공간에 충전되는 불활성 가스를 포함한다. 본 발명에 의한 플라즈마 디스플레이 사인보드는 제품의 전면으로 드러나는 절연성 재질의 기판의 후면에 방전 전극이 배치됨으로써, 감전의 위험을 줄이면서도, 두께 및 무게가 감소된다.
