Abstract

The bill serial numbers included in a bundle of bills, the bundle ID unique for the bundle of bills, and operator’s information are associated with each other and stored, thereby comprehensively managing from bill deposits to after withdrawals including operators. A bill processing system comprises a bill identification device (100), a terminal device (200), and a bill bundling device (300).  The bill identification device (100) identifies and counts bills, detects serial numbers, and transmits the serial numbers of the respective bills included in a bundle of bills to the terminal device (200).  The terminal device (200) generates only one bundle ID (unique number) for one bundle of bills, associates the bundle ID with the bill serial numbers included in the bundle of bills corresponding to the bundle ID, and stores the bundle ID and the serial numbers.  The bill bundling device (300) prints the bundle ID received from the terminal device (200) on a bundling band and bundles the bills using the bundling band.

Description

Banknote handling system
The present invention relates to a banknote processing system for identifying and counting banknotes and binding them every predetermined number.
2. Description of the Related Art Recently, banknote processing apparatuses that identify and count deposited banknotes and store the banknotes with a binding band every predetermined number have been provided. In order to guarantee the number of bundled banknotes, to confirm, to clarify responsibilities, etc., the bank name, date, banknote damage type, etc. are printed on the bundled band of the bundled banknotes (see, for example, Patent Document 1). In addition, a banknote processing apparatus has been proposed that assigns a serial number to a bundle of banknotes to be bound and prints the serial number on a binding band (see, for example, Patent Document 2).
However, such a conventional banknote handling apparatus does not hold information about each banknote included in the bundled banknote bundle. Therefore, when a counterfeit bill is mixed in the bundle of banknotes bundled or when a predetermined number of banknotes are not included in the banknote bundle, it is impossible to grasp which stage of the banknote processing has a problem.
Moreover, the conventional banknote processing apparatus as described above includes an identification unit for identifying banknotes, an accumulation unit for classifying and collecting identification banknotes, a binding unit for binding a predetermined number of banknotes, and a predetermined number of banknotes from the stacking unit to the binding unit. Since it is necessary to provide a transport unit for transporting, there is a problem that the apparatus size is increased and the cost is increased.

(Step S131) The receiving unit 301 of the banknote binding apparatus 300 receives the bundle ID transmitted from the transmitting unit 205 in step S124.
(Step S132) The banknote bundle extracted from the stacking unit 106 or the stacking unit 107 in step S113 is loaded into the loading unit of the banknote binding apparatus 300.
(Step S133) The binding unit 303 binds (bands) the loaded banknote bundle.
(Step S134) The printing unit 305 prints the bundle ID on the binding band.
As described above, according to the present embodiment, the bundle ID printed on the bundled bundle of banknote bundles and the serial number of the banknote included in the banknote bundle can be stored in association with each other. Therefore, the serial number of the banknote contained in the banknote bundle can be acquired by searching the information stored in the storage unit 204 using the bundle ID printed on the binding band.
If a fake bill is mixed in a bundle of banknotes, or if a predetermined number of banknotes are not included in the banknote bundle, the banknote ID is printed from the bundle ID printed on the binding band that has wrapped the banknote. By acquiring the serial number of the included banknote and comparing it with the serial number of the banknote at hand, it can be determined whether or not there was a problem in the banknote identification process.
Also, by storing the operator's information together with the bundle ID and serial number, it is possible to grasp which stage of the banknote processing has a problem, and from the deposit of the banknote to after the withdrawal, the operator It can be managed in a batch.
Further, in the banknote handling system of the present embodiment, the banknote identification device 100 detects a serial number and transmits it to the terminal device 200. The terminal device 200 generates a bundle ID, stores it in association with the serial number, and stores the bundle ID. Since it is a simple configuration in which the banknote binding apparatus 300 transmits to the banknote binding apparatus 300 and prints the bundle ID on the binding band, the cost can be reduced as compared with a case where a series of processes from counting to bundling is performed by one machine. Can do.
Thus, the banknote processing system according to the present embodiment can manage the banknote bundle and the banknote included in the banknote bundle in association with each other and reduce the cost.
(Second Embodiment) FIG. 8 shows a schematic configuration of a banknote handling system according to a second embodiment of the present invention.
