From 1 mass% to 25 mass% polymers are blended into the emulsion with a high speed mixer or agitated with pumps. If a gloss finish, friction resistance or increased water permeability is required, a mix of urea, formaldehyde and citric acid as a catalyst could be added at a rate of from 1 mass% to 25 mass% blend in a 500 : 20 : 1 ratio.
  • Magnesium Sulphate due to its high solubility, could be added at an amount of up to 5 mass% as a soil agent.
  • H 2 0 treated with 0 3 and/or anodized and/or treated with sodium and/or fresh and/or sea water and/or synthetic sea water is added to form a slurry. Typically this forms from 10 mass% to 90 mass% of the additive depending on the use.

  • Applications of the invention include uses thereof in concrete and cement preparation in the building and construction environment, road stabilization and compaction, and dust suppression.

Abstract

L'invention porte sur un additif pour des compositions à base de ciment et/ou des compositions de suppression de poussières, ledit additif comprenant au moins un extrait végétal choisi dans le groupe comprenant les glucides à chaîne courte, les glucides à longue chaîne, les huiles, les gommes, leurs sels et des mélanges de ceux-ci, et un ingrédient tensio-actif. L'invention s'étend à un procédé de préparation d'un additif destiné à être utilisé dans des compositions à base de ciment/ou des compositions de suppression de poussières, ledit procédé comprenant l'étape d'émulsification d'un extrait végétal et d'un ingrédient tensio-actif, comprenant le traitement thermique de l'extrait végétal à une température de 50°C à 350°C maintenue pendant une période de 0,1 heure avant l'émulsification par l'ingrédient tensio-actif.
