Abstract

The invention relates to a closing device with opening indication for a flange fitting. The claimed closing device comprises a control skirt (6) and a plug (14) made of a cap (1) and a seal (5) realized as a single unit, wherein the outer surface of the seal (5) has a cylindrical shape. The control skirt (6) has an upper portion (8) and a lower portion (10). The upper portion (8) of the control skirt (6) is connected about the entire perimeter thereof to the plug (14), and breakable sections (13) are provided at the same level about the entire perimeter of the connection area of the upper portion (8) of the control skirt (6) with the plug (14). The inner surface of the control skirt (6) has a shoulder (9) between the upper portion (8) and the lower portion (10) of the skirt, and the shoulder (9) has at least three sections (18) having their lowermost points (17) arranged substantially at the same level. The lower portion (10) of the control skirt (6) has at least two inwardly oriented stop protrusions (11). The control skirt (6) comprises throughout the entire height thereof substantially vertical weakness lines (12) that divide the skirt into at least four segments (15), at least two segments (15) having tabs (7). The claimed closing device makes the plug (14) safer to handle during re-use after separation of the control skirt (6).
