Description

BLACKOUT OR SHADING CURTAIN PANEL, ARRANGEABLE WITHIN A DOUBLE GLAZING UNIT Technical field
The present invention relates to a blackout or shading curtain panel, arrangeable within a double glazing unit. Background art
Venetian blinds or roller blinds arranged inside a double glazing unit are currently known.
They allow to shield progressively from the top downward a portion of the aperture of the opening to which they are applied.
In this manner, the blackout that they allow can be adjusted only by leaving an unoccupied portion toward the lower region of the opening.
These blinds, which are normally of the Venetian type and are motorized, are generally structurally complicated and are therefore expensive and difficult to manufacture by means of automatic lines, requiring therefor a considerable use of labor.
One need that is currently felt is to blackout only an intermediate part of the opening while being able to leave free an upper part and a lower part so that light filters through them. In this manner, in particular, this partial blackout would be aimed at shielding from the light a part of the room of which the double glazing unit closes an opening, in a manner that can be adapted to the direction from which the light arrives. Disclosure of the invention The aim of the present invention is to meet this requirement, by providing a blackout or shading curtain panel arrangeable within a double glazing unit, which allows the blackout of an intermediate band of the opening closed by the double glazing unit.
Within this aim, an object of the invention is to propose a curtain panel that can be arranged easily in any region of the double glazing unit. Another object of the invention is to provide a curtain panel that can be moved within the double glazing unit by controlling it from the outside of such unit.
Another object of the invention is to propose a curtain panel that is structurally simple and easy to use and can be manufactured with low costs.
This aim, as well as these and other objects that will become better apparent hereinafter, are achieved by a blackout or shading curtain panel, arrangeable within a double glazing unit, characterized in that it comprises
- a substantially rectangular non-deformable frame, first opposite sides of which have a breadth that is equal to a first one of the internal dimensions of the double glazing unit, the second opposite sides having smaller dimensions than the second internal dimension of said double glazing unit,
- magnetic means for moving said frame from the outside of the double glazing unit,
- means for guiding said second sides within said double glazing unit,
- means for retaining in position said frame in said double glazing unit,
- blackout means supported by said frame. Brief description of the drawings
Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become better apparent from the detailed description that follows of preferred but not exclusive embodiments of the curtain panel according to the invention, illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings, wherein:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a curtain panel according to the invention;
Figure 2 is an enlarged-scale sectional view of a detail of the curtain panel according to the invention in a first embodiment; Figure 3 is an enlarged-scale sectional view of a detail of the curtain panel according to the invention in a second embodiment;
Figure 4 is an enlarged-scale sectional view of a detail of the curtain panel according to the invention in a third embodiment;
Figure 5 is an enlarged-scale schematic view of a detail of the curtain panel according to the invention in a fourth embodiment;
Figure 6 is an enlarged-scale schematic sectional view of a detail of the curtain panel according to the invention in a fifth embodiment. Ways of carrying out the invention
It is noted that anything found to be already known during the patenting process is understood not to be claimed and to be the subject of a disclaimer.
With reference to the figures, the reference numeral 10 generally designates a blackout or shading curtain panel arrangeable within a double glazing unit 11, which comprises - a substantially rectangular non-deformable frame 12, first opposite sides 13 of which have a breadth that is equal to a first one of the internal dimensions of the double glazing unit 11, the second opposite sides 14 having smaller dimensions than the second internal dimension of the double glazing unit 11, - magnetic means 15 for moving the frame 12 from the outside of the double glazing unit 11,
- means 16 for guiding the second sides 14 within the double glazing unit 11,
- means 17 for retaining in position the frame 12 in the double glazing unit 11,
- blackout means 18 supported by the frame 12. Advantageously, the magnetic movement means 15 comprise at least one magnetically reactive element 19, which is connected to the second sides 14 to entrain them in its movement and is conveniently provided by means of a magnet whose poles are directed toward the opposite faces of the double glazing unit 11, in order to interact with a magnetic actuation element 20.
Thus, from the outside of the double glazing unit 11, by moving the magnetic actuation element 20 from a position that is adjacent to the magnetically reactive element 19, it is possible to move the latter within the double glazing unit 11 by magnetic entrainment.
Advantageously, the means 17 for retention in position comprise at least one block 21 for containing the magnetically reactive element 19, which is connected to the second sides 14 and is inserted slidingly in guides 22 that form the guiding means 16 provided in the double glazing unit 11, the block 21 haying an elastic element 23 for friction with the guide 22 in which it is inserted.
The elastic friction element 23 conveniently is elastically deformable by the action of the magnetically reactive element 19, which is moved by the magnetic actuation element 20, in order to allow easy movement of the block 21 in the guide 22.
In a first embodiment, shown for example in Figure 2, the elastic friction element 23 comprises an elastic tab 24 for pushing the body 25 of the block 21 against the guide 22, so as to make it fit snugly therein. The body 25 can be spaced partially from the guide 22 by movement of the magnetically reactive element 19, moved by the magnetic actuation element 20, in contrast with the elastic tab 24, in order to free the movement of the block 21 in the guide 22.
In a second and alternative embodiment, illustrated for example in Figure 3, the elastic friction element 23 advantageously comprises a spring
26 for pushing the magnetically reactive element 19 against the guide 22, so as to make it fit snugly against it, being separable partially from it by magnetic action in contrast with , the spring 26, in order to free the movement of the block 21 in the guide 22. In a third embodiment, illustrated for example schematically in Figure 4, the means 17 for retention in position conveniently comprise a counterbalancing device 27, which comprises
- wheels or rollers 28, which are pivoted in the double glazing unit 11 at opposite movement ends of the second sides 14, - at least one transmission element 29, which is partially wound around the wheels or rollers 28 so as to connect them and is connected, by means of mutually opposite portions 29a thereof with respect to the wheels or rollers 28, to the second sides 14 and to a slider 30 which accommodates the magnetically reactive element 19. In alternative embodiments, depending on the contingent requirements, the blackout means conveniently comprise a Venetian blind, not shown in the accompanying figures, or a panel 31.
More particularly, there are two blocks 21 which are associated for example with the upper ends of the second sides 14, two sliders 32 being provided at their lower ends and being inserted slidingly within the guides
22 provided on the corresponding shoulders 33 of the double glazing unit
11.
The movement of the curtain panel 10 within the double glazing unit
11 can be performed for example by means of a rod, not shown in the accompanying figures, which is equal in length to the first sides 13 and is provided at its ends with magnetic actuation elements 20.
In fact, by arranging the rod adjacent to the double glazing unit 11, placing the magnetic actuation elements 20 so that they face the magnetically reactive elements 19, and then moving the rod so that it skims the double glazing unit 11, the magnetic interaction between the magnetic actuation elements 20 and the magnetically reactive elements 19 causes the entrainment of the latter and the consequent joint movement of the curtain panel 10 within the double glazing unit.
It should be noted that the magnetic actuation elements 20 and/or the magnetically reactive elements are a magnet, if the other one is not provided by means of a magnet it is conveniently a ferromagnetic material.
With particular reference to Figure 5, a fourth embodiment of a curtain panel according to the invention, designated by the reference numeral 100, is illustrated by way of non-limiting example. The elements that correspond to the ones that have already been described are designated by the same reference numerals.
Advantageously, the curtain panel 100 has magnetic means 15 for the movement of the frame 12 which comprise:
— rotary elements 34 which are internal to the double glazing unit 11 and are connected to guiding elements 35 for moving the frame 12 within the double glazing unit 11 ,
- rotary elements 36 which are external to the double glazing unit 11 and are provided at the internal rotary elements 34 connected to means for actuating their rotation in order to be operated by an operator, - means 37 for magnetic interaction between the external rotary elements 36 and the internal rotary elements 34, during use the internal rotaiy elements 34 being able to rotate by magnetic action applied by a rotation of the external rotary elements 36, actuated by an operator, or by actuation thereof, provided by way of such actuation means. Advantageously, the magnetic interaction means are magnets.
Such actuation means, not shown in the accompanying figures, are per se known, and depending on the requirements of the embodiment of the invention can comprise electric motors for the automatic rotation of the external rotary elements 36 or cords for their manual rotation. With particular reference to Figure 6, a fifth embodiment of a curtain panel according to the invention, designated by the reference numeral 200, is illustrated by way of non-limiting example, and the elements that correspond to the ones that have been described so far are designated by the same reference numerals. Conveniently, the curtain panel 200 comprises a crossmember 38 provided with supporting means for an exhibitor 39, reactive magnetic elements 40 and 41 being provided which are fitted on the crossmember 38 and on at least one chosen side of the sides 13 and 14, which is designated herein by the reference numeral 42. The magnetic reactive elements 40 and 41 are conveniently adapted to retain the crossmember 38 in abutment against an external face 43 of the double glazing unit 11.
The magnetic reactive elements 40 and 41 comprise first magnetic reactive elements 40 provided along the crossmember 38 and second magnetic reactive elements 41 provided correspondingly along the chosen side 42.
Preferably, the supporting means comprise two parts 44 and 45 of the crossmember 38, which are hinged along one edge and are adapted to comprise between them, during use, a flap 39a of the exhibitor 39, a first part 44 of the parts 44 and 45 supporting the first magnetic reactive elements 40, during use the second part 45 of the parts 44 and 45 being comprised, together with the flap 39a, between the first part 44 and the outer face 43 of the double glazing unit 11, the crossmember 38 being arranged in a chosen position where, in a corresponding position within the double glazing unit 11, the chosen side 42 is arranged in order to retain it in abutment against the face 43 by the magnetic action applied by means of the magnetic reactive elements 40 and 41.
Thus, during use, the operator positions the chosen side 42 within the double glazing unit 11, thus defining the position in which, on the face 43, the crossmember 38 is to be applied, between the parts 44 and 45 of which the flap 39a is pinched and is retained between them by magnetic interaction of the magnetic reactive elements 40 and 41, which mutually attract the first part 44 of the crossmember 38 to the chosen side 42.
In practice it has been found that the invention achieves the intended aim and objects, providing a blackout or shading curtain panel arrangeable within a double glazing unit that allows the blackout of an intermediate band of the opening closed by the double glazing unit and can be positioned and repositioned easily therein substantially in any region.
A curtain panel according to the invention, furthermore, can be moved easily within the double glazing unit by controlling it from the outside of such unit, by the magnetic action between the magnetic actuation elements and the magnetically reactive elements.
Moreover, a curtain panel according to the invention is structurally simple and easy to provide with relatively low costs. The invention thus conceived is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the appended claims; all the details may further be replaced with other technically equivalent elements.
In practice, the materials used, as well as the contingent shapes and dimensions, may be any according to requirements and to the state of the art.
