Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système et une méthode permettant de réaliser un examen non invasif du colon au moyen d'ultrasons dans une capsule ingérable. Un réflecteur pivotant est utilisé pour réfléchir un faisceau à ultrasons produit par une source à ultrasons. Ledit réflecteur pivotant est conçu pour minimiser les résistances de frottement. Ladite capsule comprend des éléments de capteurs à ultrasons, un circuit de commande, une source d'alimentation sans fil externe et un enregistreur de données. Les données à ultrasons enregistrées sont ensuite traitées et une image virtuelle de la lumière est produite à des fins de diagnostic.
