Abstract
La présente invention concerne des procédés de production d'un courant d'hydrocarbures sensiblement désulfurés, sans quantité importante d'hydrogène, à des pressions inférieures à 125 psig. Le procédé utilise deux lits fixes en série pour éliminer le soufre et/ou autres hétéroatomes pour produire un courant d'hydrocarbures sensiblement désulfuré (moins d'1 ppm de soufre). Le premier lit fixe utilise un catalyseur à base de métaux de transition dispersé sur une matrice d'oxyde organique et le second lit utilise un catalyseur à base d'oxyde inorganique amorphe, poreux, à surface catalytique active élevée ou un catalyseur carboné poreux à surface catalytique active élevée. Le second lit fixe peut comprendre en outre un ou plusieurs métaux.
