Abstract

The present invention relates to a cock for waterworks, and more particularly, to a cock for waterworks that is used for dispensing cold and hot water, configured with a body formed on an outlet of a dispensing pipe, a water dispensing opening installed at a bottom of the body, a valve installed in the water dispensing opening, and a valve actuator configured as a pusher that pushes and raises a valve body along an inclined ramp, wherein the pusher has a presser installed on the front end thereof, and the presser projects outside of a projecting pipe installed at the opposite side of the dispensing pipe. The presser includes a controlling device for controlling forward/backward movement, and the controlling device is configured with a stopper installed on the presser, a stopper housing installed in the projecting pipe, and a locking part installed within the stopper housing. Thus, the drawbacks of the prior art involving the inconvenience of having to use both hands to extract hot water and of water leaking when connecting a hose to the outlet of a cock for continued water extraction can be overcome.
