Abstract

Mobile inventory management is performed in order to suppress as far as possible the loss of sales opportunities and inventory management costs. When an inventory management server (10) receives a new order request, said server confirms whether or not the order quantity which indicates the number of products ordered in the order request is less than the quantity available to reserve during the shipping allowed period which includes the expected shipping date when the order in the order request was received. If the decision is that the order quantity is not less than the quantity available to reserve, it is confirmed whether or not the order quantity is less than the total quantity available to reserve which combines the quantity available to reserve in the shipping allowed period including the expected shipping date when the order of the order request was received and the quantity available included in the current inventory management information. If the order quantity is determined to be less than the quantity available to reserve, the decision is to accept the order of the order request. If the order quantity is determined to be less than the total quantity available to reserve, the decision is to accept the order of the order request.

Description

Inventory management server
The present invention relates to an inventory management server that manages an inventory of products to be sold to customers.
Conventionally, when selling a product, when the seller accepts an order from a customer, it determines whether or not the inventory managed by the customer can be allocated for each order, and there is no inventory currently available for allocation. No order was accepted.
However, there are cases where it is sufficient for the customer to obtain the desired product by the desired date of delivery date, or to obtain information on whether or not the product can be obtained regardless of the delivery date.
In such a case, in order to prevent loss of sales opportunities as being unable to receive orders uniformly, for example, in Patent Document 1, when there is no product that can be assigned to the stock of one's own warehouse, the product to be received is assigned. It is also disclosed to expand the customer's selection and increase the sales opportunity by allocating the product of the production plan if it is not possible.
Patent No. 3239980
However, in the conventional stock management system, when there is an inventory that can be allocated under own control when an order is received, it is configured to allocate the inventory for the order, for example, the requested delivery date is late. There is a problem that it is only possible to make a normal order for an order and make an order in the form of a reservation for a subsequent urgent order, resulting in the loss of sales opportunities.
On the other hand, it is possible to increase the amount of inventory that you manage yourself to avoid missing sales opportunities to customers who want urgent deliveries, but in this case the cost of keeping the inventory will increase and the inventory will remain unsold. There is also the problem that the danger also increases.
The present invention solves such a problem and enables to flexibly carry out inventory management, and can minimize the loss of sales opportunities as much as possible, and minimize the inventory storage cost as much as possible. Desired delivery date, scheduled shipping date (may be scheduled shipping date and time), the number of provisions indicating the number of products reserved for the current number of stocks, and the number of products reserved for the number of possible reservation allowances described later The number of reserved reservations shown is information associated with each order. Here, the planned shipping date has a function of calculating the number of days required for the movement of goods by the inventory management server 10 (the number of days of movement from shipment to delivery), and may be calculated using the desired delivery date and the seller address. The configuration may be determined by the dealer A. In this example, for the sake of simplicity, it is assumed that the moving days are all one day.
FIG. 5 is an explanatory view showing an example of future stock management information. The future stock management information is information that can identify the number of stocks that can be reserved for reservation at a certain point in the future, and as shown in FIG. The shipping availability period indicating the range of (the shipping availability date and time may be used) and the reservation availability possible number indicating the number of applicable products which can be reserved for reservation during the shipping availability period are information associated with each other. In other words, “Reservation allowance available count” indicates the number of goods that can be reserved for reservation during the available shipping date period out of the number of arrival for goods expected to be received from the manufacturer side to the distributor A It is.
Next, the operation of the stock management system 100 of this example will be described. In the following description, it is assumed that the present is April 5, 2009.
FIG. 6 is a flow chart showing an example of the stock management process in the stock management system 100 of this embodiment. Here, the case where inventory management server 10 performs processing etc. which update the information stored in inventory management DB 10A according to the shipment information etc. from supplier terminal 21 is explained to an example. This arrival management process is, for example, performed periodically. The description may be omitted except for the processing particularly related to the present invention.
In the arrival management process, the stock management server 10 first receives the shipping information (item ID, shipping date or planned shipping date, and information including shipping quantity or planned shipping quantity) from the vendor terminal 21 (step S101). (Y), to generate arrival schedule information from the received shipping information and register it in the inventory management DB 10A (step S102). In this case, the scheduled arrival date may be determined by the stock management server 10 based on the shipping date or the shipping scheduled date, or may be included in the shipping information. The planned arrival quantity corresponds to the shipment quantity or the planned shipment quantity.
Next, the inventory management server 10 updates the future inventory management information based on the generated arrival schedule information (step S103). For example, assuming that the estimated arrival date indicated by the generated arrival schedule information is April 7, 2009 and the estimated arrival quantity is 100, the stock management server 10 can ship from the estimated arrival date (for example, April 2009). Determine the 8th day), add the possible shipping period as necessary, and add 100 to the reserveable numbers for each possible shipping period after the decided shipping date. Specifically, when the future stock management information has the contents shown in FIG. 5, the shipping availability period after April 8 is added, and the number of reserveable reservations for each shipping availability period after April 8 100 is added to each, and the contents shown in FIG. 7 are updated.
When the future stock management information is updated based on the arrival schedule information, the stock management server 10 refers to the received order information, and for the corresponding product, the shipment is scheduled after the first day of the possible shipping period newly set in the future stock management information. It is checked whether there is a day and the number of provisions is set (step S104). Specifically, when the content is updated to the content shown in FIG. 7, for the product of the product ID “1,” the scheduled shipping date is from April 8, 2009, and the number of provisions is set. For example, in the case where the received order information is the content shown in FIG.
If the first and subsequent days of the newly-settable possible shipping period are scheduled to be shipped and there are items for which the number of provisions has been set (Y in step S104), the inventory management server 10 determines future inventory management information Change the number or part of the number of provisions in the received information to the number of reservation allowances up to the applicable reservation allowance number (step S105), and make a reservation for each possible shipment period after the applicable shipment possible period The reserveable number is updated by subtracting the number changed from the reserveable number to the reserve amount (step S106), and the reserveable number is added to the reserveable number in the current stock management information and the number can be added to the reserve number. The number is updated (step S107).
When the future stock management information is updated to the content shown in FIG. 7 in step S103 and the received order information is the content shown in FIG. 4, the stock management server 10 is newly shipped in step S105. The number of provisions "100" for which the shipping schedule date is from the first day of the possible period is changed to the number of reservation reserves, and in step S106 each of the possible numbers of reserved reserves in each possible shipping period for April 8, 2009 or later The number “100” changed to the number of reservation allocations is subtracted and the number of reservation allowances is updated to the content shown in FIG.
Next, when the stock management server 10 acquires arrival record information by, for example, the operation of the administrator of the server 10 (Y in step S108), the stock management server 10 performs an arrival handling process such as deletion of the corresponding arrival schedule information (step S109) . The arrival record information is information input by the administrator of the server 10 when the arrival of the product to be received is confirmed, and which of the items to be received corresponding to the information on the arrival of the product has been received Is information including information that can be identified and that the arrival has been completed.
In addition to deleting the corresponding arrival schedule information, processing for changing the corresponding arrival schedule quantity to the current number of stocks, processing for changing the applicable reservation allowance number to the possible allocation number, and the corresponding reservation allocation number Including processing to change to the number of provisions.
Next, order reception processing in the stock management system 100 will be described. FIG. 9 is a flowchart showing an example of the order receiving process of this embodiment. Here, a case will be described as an example in which a process of determining whether to accept an order or the like is performed according to the order acceptance request received from the customer terminal 31. The contents of the processes not related to the present invention may be omitted.
In the order receiving process, the inventory management server 10 receives the order receiving request information from the customer terminal 31 (a product ID capable of specifying the product, a sales destination address as a sale destination of the product, a desired delivery date of the product, and a quantity of the product When information including the desired product number is received (Y in step S301), the future stock management information is referred to, and reservation reservation for the possible shipment period including the scheduled shipping date determined from the desired delivery date included in the received order request information Whether or not reservation allocation is possible is confirmed by confirming whether the possible number is equal to or more than the desired number of items included in the order request information (step S302).
If the reservation allowance number is equal to or more than the desired number of products, the stock management server 10 determines that the reservation allowance is possible (Y in step S302), and transmits an order availability notification to the customer terminal 31 (step S303). Then, the stock management server 10 generates received order information from the received order request information and registers the received information in the stock management DB 10A (step S304). In this case, received order information is generated with the number of desired products as the number of reserved reservations. Then, the inventory management server 10 updates the reserveable number by subtracting the reserveable number from the reserveable number of each shipping possible period after the applicable shipping possible period in the future stock management information (step S305). ).
If the reserveable number is less than the number of desired products, the stock management server 10 determines that the order can not be received only by the reserve (N in step S302), and determines from the desired delivery date included in the received order request information. Check whether the total available count of the reserveable number of available shipment period including the planned shipping date and the available number in the current inventory management information is more than the desired number of items included in the order request information. Thus, it is checked whether allocation is possible (step S306).
If the total number of items that can be allocated is equal to or more than the number of desired products, the stock management server 10 determines that allocation is possible (Y in step S306), and transmits an order available notification to the customer terminal 31 (step S307). . Then, the stock management server 10 generates received order information from the received order request information and registers the received information in the stock management DB 10A (step S308). In this case, it is possible to generate order completion information in which the entire reserveable number among the allocatable totals is the reserve number, and the reserveable total number is a number other than the reserveable number. The number of reserved reservations may be zero. Then, when the number of reservation allowances is not 0, the stock management server 10 subtracts the number of reservation allowances from the number of reservation allowances in each shipping possible period after the applicable shipping possible period in the future stock management information. The reservation allowance number is updated (step S309). Also, the inventory management server 10 subtracts the number of provisions from the number of provisions available in the current inventory management information to update the number of provisions available (step S310).
If the allocatable total number is less than the number of desired products, the stock management server 10 determines that allocation is impossible (N in step S306), and transmits an order impossible notification to the customer terminal 31 (step S311).
Order processing is performed as described above. Specifically, when the current inventory management information, the arrival schedule information, the received order information, and the future inventory management information are in the states shown in FIGS. 2 to 5, respectively, the desired delivery date is for the product of the product ID "1". Assuming that we received an order request for the desired number of products “200” on April 10, 2009 (the planned shipping date will be determined on April 9 of the previous day), Since the reservation allocatable number is "0", it is determined as N in step S302, and since the allocatable total number is "200" which is only the allocatable number, it is determined as Y in step S306, for example, as shown in FIG. In step S308, order completion information having the number of reservation allocations of "0" and the number of allocations of "200" is registered, and the number of possible reservation allocations in step S309 is not updated. Updated to "0" And thus.
Next, shipping management processing in the stock management system 100 will be described. FIG. 11 is a flowchart showing an example of the shipping management process of this embodiment. Here, when the current inventory management information, arrival schedule information, received order information, and future inventory management information are in the states shown in FIG. 2 to FIG. 5, respectively, it becomes April 9, 2009, and The process when 100 items are shipped will be described as an example. The contents of the processes not related to the present invention may be omitted.
In the shipping management process, when the inventory management server 10 acquires shipping result information, for example, by an operation of the administrator of the server 10 (Y in step S301), the inventory management server 10 performs shipping correspondence processing such as deletion of corresponding received order information (step S302). The shipping record information is information that is input by the administrator of the server 10 when the shipment of the product to be shipped is confirmed, and which of the received order information the shipment of the product to be shipped has been completed Is information including information that can be identified and that the shipment has been completed.
The shipping handling processing includes processing for subtracting the number of provisions in the received order information that is the deletion target from the current stock number in the current stock management information, as well as deletion of the corresponding received order information. Here, the current stock number is reduced from 300 to 100 to 200. Note that the number of allowances is not changed.
As described above, in the above-described embodiment, the stock management server 10 that manages stock of a product is able to generate a new order out of the current stock quantity indicating the current stock quantity of the product and the current stock quantity. A current inventory management database (inventory management database 10A) storing current inventory management information including an available number indicating the number of products that can be allocated, and a shippable period set according to the future arrival schedule of products Future inventory management DB (inventory management DB 10A) that stores future inventory management information including the number of products scheduled to be received and the number of products that can be allocated to a new order in the shippable period, indicating the number of products available for reservation And, when a new order request is received, the future inventory management information is referred to, and the number of items indicating the number of items ordered by the order request is the planned shipping date when the order request is received. Including Check whether it is less than or equal to the reservation allowance number in the shipping available period, and if it is determined that the order number is not less than or equal to the reservation allowance number, refer to the future inventory management information and the current inventory management information, Whether or not the total number of reservations available in the available period, including the planned shipping date when the order request is received, and the available number included in the current inventory management information is less than or equal to the total number available If it is determined that the number of orders is equal to or less than the reserveable number, it is determined to accept the order request, and if it is determined that the number of orders is equal to or less than the total number of allocatables, the order is confirmed. Since it is decided to receive the order of the request, it is possible to carry out the inventory management which can respond flexibly, and it is possible to minimize the loss of the sales opportunity as much as possible, and minimize the stock keeping cost as much as possible. To do Kill as to become.
That is, when the inventory management server 10 receives a new order request, it refers to future inventory management information, and when the number of orders indicating the number of items ordered by the order request receives the order of the order request If it is determined that the number of orders is not less than or equal to the number of reservations that can be reserved, the future inventory management information and the current inventory management information will be checked. The number of orders can be allocated by combining the available number of reservations in the available period including the planned shipping date when the order request is received with the available number included in the current inventory control information. It is determined whether or not the number of orders is equal to or less than the total number, and if it is determined that the number of orders is equal to or less than the reservation allocatable number, it is determined to receive the order request order, and determined that the number of orders is equal to or less than the allocatable total number If requested, the order request Since it is determined to accept orders, it is possible to assign the reserveable number in the future inventory management information in preference to the available number in the current inventory management information, and the available number in the current inventory management information It will be possible to secure for order items close in due date in future orders. As a result, it is possible to perform inventory management that can respond flexibly, and it is possible to minimize the loss of sales opportunities. Furthermore, since it is not necessary to secure a large number of stocks by performing stock management that can flexibly respond, stock storage costs can be minimized as much.
Also, when the inventory management server 10 determines that the number of orders is not less than or equal to the number of reserveable reservations, it refers to the future inventory management information and the current inventory management information, and the number of orders receives an order request Make sure that the number of orders can be allocated by checking whether the total number of reservations available in the available period, including the planned shipping date, is equal to or less than the total number of available items included in the current inventory management information. When it is determined that the number is less than or equal to the total number, it is determined to receive the order of the order request. Therefore, if it is not sufficient to reserve only the reservation reserveable number in the future stock management information, the current stock management information Not only the available number but also the total number of available and available reserves can be used to check whether the available resources can be allocated or not, even if only available reserves are not sufficient. It is possible to prioritize allocation of possible allowances to a part of the number of orders, and secure a part of the allocatable number in current inventory control information for order items that will be due in the near future for future orders. Is possible. As a result, it is possible to perform inventory management that can respond flexibly, and it is possible to minimize the loss of sales opportunities. Furthermore, since it is not necessary to secure a large number of stocks by performing stock management that can flexibly respond, stock storage costs can be minimized as much.
Further, in the above-described embodiment, the reservation management system 10 can make a reservation allowance in response to the fact that the order number is determined to be equal to or less than the reservation allowance number, and it is determined that the order request is accepted. In order to reserve a part or all of the number for the number of orders, the number of available reserves is updated by subtracting the number of reserved orders from the possible number of reserved reservations in the future stock management information, so that it is simple It becomes possible to update the management information for inventory management to the state after reservation allocation by the above process.
In the above-described embodiment, the inventory management server 10 determines that the order request is to be accepted because it is determined that the number of orders is equal to or less than the total number of provisions. In order to reserve all reservations for the number of possible reservations and to allocate part or all of the total possible provisions to the number of orders not allocated for reservations, future inventory The configuration is such that the reserveable number is updated by subtracting the reserve amount from the reserve amount in the management information and the reserve amount is updated by subtracting the reserve amount from the available number in the current inventory management information. Therefore, it is possible to update the management information for inventory management to a state after reservation allocation and allocation or after allocation by simple processing.
Further, in the above-described embodiment, in response to the fact that the stock management server 10 determines that the order is accepted, provision contents of the planned shipping date for shipping the goods of the received order and the number of orders received Because it is configured to register received order information including the number of reserved reservations and the number of reserved, it is necessary to register the contents of the order so that the number of reserved reservations and the number of allocated in the reserved order can be identified Is possible.
Further, in the above-described embodiment, when the stock management server 10 receives the arrival schedule information indicating the arrival schedule of the product, the available shipping period set according to the arrival schedule indicated by the arrival schedule information, The future stock management information stored in the future stock management DB (stock management DB 10A) is updated by registering the future stock management information in which it is associated with the reservation allocatable number indicated by the number of products scheduled to be received, and the order has been received. If there is a plan to be shipped during the available shipping period set according to the arrival schedule indicated by the arrival schedule information referring to the information and there is a set number of provisions, the number of items scheduled to be received is Change the number of reserves to the number of reservation reserves by changing the number of reservations to the number of reservation allowances as the upper limit of the number of reservation allowances shown, and change from the reservation allocatable number indicated by the number of products scheduled to be received in the registered future inventory management information Because the have a number of reservations allowance and configured to update the number of possible reservation allowance is subtracted, it is possible to update the management information for inventory management by simple processing in a state that takes into account the new stock plan.
In the above-described embodiment, although the storage location (for example, the warehouse) of each item for inventory management by the inventory management server 10 is described as not distinguishing one or a plurality of storage locations, the same storage location may be used. The products may be stored in a plurality of storage locations, and the plurality of storage locations may be distinguished from one another. In this case, a storage location ID capable of identifying the storage location is used. For example, with respect to current inventory management information, the current inventory number and the available number of provisions are managed for each storage location of the corresponding product. It may be made to correspond to the storage location ID. Further, with regard to the future stock management information, the reservation allowance number may be managed for each storage location of the corresponding product, and may be associated with the storage location ID of the corresponding storage location. Furthermore, the storage location ID indicating the storage planned location is also associated with the arrival schedule information, and it is possible to specify from which storage location each product of the number of provisions and the number of reservation allowances is shipped Thus, the number of allocations and the number of reservation allocations may be divided and managed for each storage location, and the storage location ID may be associated with each of the divided number of allocations and the number of reservation allocations. When configured in this way, when the same product is stored at a plurality of storage locations, processing of arrival or shipment at the corresponding storage location as in the embodiment described above when the storage location is moved As a result, it becomes possible to reserve reservations preferentially when moving storage locations, and it is possible to reduce the number of provisions as much as possible and respond flexibly to new orders.
Although not particularly mentioned in the above-described embodiment, the various types of processing described above are executed in accordance with a processing program (inventory management processing program) stored in a storage medium included in the inventory management server 10.
According to the present invention, it is useful to provide an inventory management server capable of flexibly dealing with inventory management, minimizing loss of sales opportunities, and minimizing inventory storage costs as much as possible.
