Abstract

A heat engine (200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700) for producing mechanical work is disclosed. The heat engine comprises means (205) for dissolving in a solvent a waste working medium produced by the engine (203) as a result of the production of mechanical work by the turbine (203) and a separation means (201) arranged to receive the dissolved waste working medium which is pressurized in the pumps (208, 209) and to separate the dissolved waste working medium from solvent. The separation means (201) separates the dissolved waste working medium into a gaseous working medium and a solvent of the waste working medium.
