Description
Spark-plug Field of the Invention
The invention is referred to the devices for ignition of air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber running without auto-ignition of this mixture mainly for injection and carburetor internal-combustion engines running on light fuel.
Prior Art
The spark-plug for the internal combustion engine is known to contain a body with a chamber and a hole, a center electrode with a spark-plug insulator and a spark spacer. It is notable for its spark spacer performed as an annular slot formed by the edge of the center electrode end, and the end formed by the hole in the body and inner camber surface of the spark-plug. The centre electrode end is placed inside the chamber and the correlation of the parameters of the spark spacer can be estimated in the following way:
C = Λ/A2 + B2 ' where A is difference of the center electrode and the hole radii; B is the interval from the electrode end face to the surface chamber face; C is constant magnitude of a spark spacer, it being known that the hole in the body is performed as a truncated cone and centre electrode diameter is more major than the body hole diameter no less than 2 rates of the spark spacer - 2C. (RU JV° 2282290, 2006)
Apart from the spark-plug described above, there is one containing a body with an inner threaded belt and a longitudal hole where the sparkplug insulator with a centre electrode and large-batch electrode are placed. The latter is performed as an oversailing the cutoff point of the
centre electrode nozzle head with a diffuser in the exit. The nozzle head is placed so as to form a spark spacer between electrodes being notable for the nozzle head performed together with the body. The nozzle head's length from the threaded belt edge of the body is performed no less than a minimal diffuser diameter whose angle is (51±1,5)° and the length is no more than 0,5 of a minimal diffuser diameter. And the insulator is provided with an outer creep-resistant silicone seal to proof from the surface of the body's longitudal hole. (RU N-? 66120, 2007, prototype)/
The disadvantages of the models known are low reliability, incomplete fuel combustion, necessity to apply an accelerator to reduce toxic exhausts and inefficient operation life.
Summary of the Invention
Technical result achieved in the effective model of a spark-plug applied is increase in operation and quality life, fuel saving and toxic exhausts reduction.
Specified technical result is achieved by creating a spark-plug containing a body with an outer threaded belt and a longitudal hole where an insulator provided with the outer creep-resistant elastic material, centre electrode, heat cone and an inner chamber of the nozzle head with the diffuser is placed.
Novelty of the spark-plug offered is contraction of the inner chamber relative to the diffuser and expansion relative to the flat ring wall of the inner chamber performed normal-angle, and nozzle head
thickening passing the body. The nozzle head with the diffuser are placed at grade with a heat cone.
Detailed Description of the Invention
A structural scheme of the spark-plug is represented in Fig. 1 ; a scheme of operating the spark-plug with its central arrangement in the combustion chamber is represented in Fig.2; a scheme of operating the spark-plug with its lateral arrangement in the combustion chamber is represented in Fig.3.
A spark-plug containing the body 1 with an outer threaded belt 2 and longitudinal hole 3 where the insulator 4 is placed. It is provided with outer seal 5 from creep-resistant elastic material. A centre electrode 6, a heat cone 7, the inner chamber 8 of the nozzle head 9, a diffuser 10, contraction 11 of the inner chamber 8 relate to the diffuser 10 and expansion 12 relate to the flat ring wall 13 of the inner chamber 8 performed normal-angle, nozzle head 9 thickening 14 passing the body 1, nozzle head arrangement 9 with a diffuser 10 at grade with a heat cone 7.
The spark-plug offered operates in the following way: the sparkplug is driven in the combustion chamber wall of the internal combustion engine on the outer threaded belt 2 arranged on the body 1. And the nozzle head 9 oversails the combustion chamber volume. When filled with fuel, the inner spark-plug chamber 8 is filled up with given mixture. Air-fuel mixture contraction in the combustion chamber occurs. Fuel mixture passing through the diffuser 10 is contracted and the inner chamber 8 is filled up. When supplied with the high-voltage pulse a center electrode 6 and a nozzle head 9 electric breakdown in the zone of
a spark spacer between them occurs. Initially, this breakdown has the form of the spark line between the centre electrode 6 and the nozzle head 9 at small rotation, but when the engine rotation is increased pressure in the combustion chamber is also increased and the spark is running down from the centre electrode 6 to the flat ring wall 13 on the heat cone 7. Before the spark breakdown operating mixture ionization occurs in the inner chamber 8 of the spark-plug, and then under its ionizing action in the moment of the spark breakdown fuel mixture is inflamed in the inner chamber 8 and diffuser 10. Under the action of electrodynamic force arising as a result of interaction of radical current passing through plasma appeared at the moment of a breakdown, and magnetic field created by this current passing further along the heat cone 7, plasma bunch starts accelerating along the axis of the diffuser 10, i.e. the shift (blowing) of the plasma bunch to the exterior edge of the nozzle head 9 takes place. Meanwhile, fuel mixture is inflamed to the side of extension 12 of the inner chamber 8 relate to the ring wall 13 of the inner chamber 8. Fuel mixture inflammation in the inner chamber 8 leads to the fact that the combustion materials stream flows at high speed from the diffuser 10, merges with the fuel mixture and completes the process of its ignition started by the blown plasma bunch. The spark spacer is arranged in the central area of the combustion chamber and is protected from turbulent flows of the air fuel mixture by the body 1. When starting the cold engine, a diffuser 10, a centre electrode 6 and an insulator 4 are heated during the first operating cycles. The inner seal 5 does not allow blow-by from the combustion chamber between the body 1 and the insulator 4.
The invention claimed provides a range of advantages:
protection of the spark and initial air fuel mixture inflammation from turbulent flows appearing in the engine operating process;
- allows the spark to remain in the centre of the combustion chamber and shoot the flame;
- spark-plug range is 360°' there is no need to apply the accelerator; thickening of the spark-plug nozzle head makes it possible to preserve operating heat range; - spark-spacer dimension ensures steady spark operation, it is not sensitive to pouring with fuel; high ignition capability on all engine's regimes; high ignition capability at low temperatures; the spark-plug is not sensitive to rich mixture contamination; - the spark-plug is not sensitive to oil, cooling fluid and low quality petrol; possess self-cleaning capability which increases lifetime of the spark-plug.
Thus, an effective, reliable, efficient, durable and ecologically clean spark-plug is created.
