Abstract
The present invention relates to an apparatus for improving the quality of water such as lakes, ponds, rivers etc. The apparatus of the present invention comprises: a water supply pipe (11) installed at a location where water quality needs to be improved, via which water is transferred from one site to another site; a pump (2) for supplying target water into the water supply pipe; a nozzle assembly (30) for mixing the incoming water through the water supply pipe with outside air and then discharging at a high flow rate; and an air feed tube (20), via which air flows into the nozzle assembly. As aforementioned, the nozzle assembly (30) mixes the incoming outside air with target water and then discharges water containing a large amount of air bubbles. This substantially increases dissolved oxygen in water and thus improves the quality of water.
