Definitions
- the invention involves a product to prevent skidding between two surfaces, especially between a shoe sole and a tread surface.
- shoe soles usually have a high acquisition price and their use is, to a large degree, limited to a specific surface and by its maintenance as well as by a small product range.
- the suitable models are virtually inaccessible for older people, hospitalized people, handicapped children and adults and socially disadvantaged people. It is possible to demonstrate that even the most expensive, special anti-skid shoes degrade on the contact surface in the course of time, losing their required properties and their use value; because of their skid propensity, they even become dangerous. So far, there are no products for their at least partial renovation on the market and, in the end, they also become an environmental burden.
- the liquid is advantageously placed in a closed container fitted with a membrane with at least one single-way valve for liquid outlet.
- the membrane is advantageously provided with a layer of porous material on the side facing away from the liquid.
- the container is at least 100mm long and at least 60mm wide and is fitted with edges for shoe placement.
- the container can be fitted with an inlet opening for refilling.
- the composition of the liquid ensures high adhesion particularly between a shoe sole and a tread or playing surface. This prevents skidding and reduces the risk of injury. From a sporting point of view, the players have a higher stability that also influences their performance and other users can enjoy higher safety and savings on the costs of new shoes, because the described liquid regenerates, as mentioned above, most types of sole materials used for household, hospital and sporting purposes.
- the above- described and defined liquid has another essential property - absolute lack of toxicity.
- Each of the mentioned ingredients is even used in the food-processing industry. Their mutual composition maintains this feature.
- the storage conditions do not have any special requirements.
- the liquid almost does not freeze. Its application is extremely easy: the shoe sole is gently rubbed against the porous surface soaked with the liquid.
- the liquid can be placed in a closed container fitted with a membrane with at least one single-way valve.
- the membrane When the membrane is pressed, the liquid flows to its free surface, from which it can be easily applied on the shoe sole.
- a layer of porous material on the side of the membrane facing away from the liquid; this porous material absorbs the liquid and easily applies it on the shoe sole. This surface also prevents any undesirable leak of the unused liquid on the membrane, for example when the container is transported.
- the container can be produced in the shape of a shoe box whose size corresponds with the size of the footwear.
- the -A- liquid is then applied by merely putting the shoe in the container.
- the Container can be provided with an inlet opening for refilling the liquid, so it can be used repeatedly, which brings especially economic benefits.
- the shelf life of the whole set depends only on the size of the container, the quantity of the liquid and the frequency of use. The requirements on use are very low. Only a very thin film has to be created on the shoe sole; on a very_ dusty or strongly polluted floor, it is necessary to apply the liquid no the sole more often. Accidental spill of the liquid can be easily mended by simply wiping it, just like in case of ordinary water.
- drawing No. 1 shows an axonometric view of the container with the liquid
- drawing No. 2 an axonometric view of the container for the footwear.
- the embodiment of the product to prevent skidding between a shoe sole and a playing surface consists of a liquid comprising 40% by weight of propane-1, 2, 3-triol, i.e. glycerol, 10% by weight of natural bee honey, 20% by weight of starch flour or gel-forming substance and 30% by weight of water.
- propane-1, 2, 3-triol i.e. glycerol
- 10% by weight of natural bee honey 20% by weight of starch flour or gel-forming substance and 30% by weight of water.
- the accurate percentage or other quantification of the liquid composition in the embodiment could be misleading because it is necessary to know the character of the tread surface, its pollution and whether or not the surface is soiled by grease. Avoiding skidding on surfaces soiled by any grease is not subject to the described invention.
- the liquid is placed in a closed container I ⁇ provided with a membrane 2_ with many single-way valves 3 ⁇ to ensure the flow of the liquid from the container 1 ⁇ .
- the membrane ⁇ "_ is formed by a protuberant surface with conical holes whose narrower ends face the liquid. When the membrane 2_ is pressed, the narrower ends of the conical holes expand, which allows the liquid to flow on the membrane 2_. When released, the conical ends close again.
- the membrane 2 ⁇ is provided with a layer of porous material ⁇ , which absorbs the liquid. Thanks to the layer of porous material, the liquid is spread more uniformly on the shoe sole.
- the container 1 is 350mm long and 150mm wide and is provided with edges for shoe placement.
- the shoe is placed inside the container 1 and the liquid is brought in by gently pressing the membrane 2 ⁇ .
- the liquid is spread uniformly on the whole surface of the shoe sole.
- the containers are provided with covers for closing and inlet openings 5 for refilling the liquid.
- the product to prevent skidding between two surfaces according to this invention can be used especially in the field of indoor games and sports on artificial surfaces. It can be also used in other sport arenas, hospitals, sanatoriums etc.
