Abstract
The purpose of this invention is to provide a prosthesis rebound device, to enable lower-limb amputees to again undertake various physical, sporting or recreational activities that keep them in optimum health by means of exercise, incorporating the rebound device in their prosthesis, having a reduced impact on their residual limb as well as achieving a significant energy return on account of the rebound effect of the accessory, the benefits afforded to amputees by this device including improved balance, greater flexibility, enhanced cardiovascular capacity, elasticity, greater muscular power, greater strength, better general fitness and a significant emotional benefit derived from undertaking physical activities they enjoy with fewer limitations.

DISPOSITIVO DE REBOTE PARA PRÓTESIS REBOUND DEVICE FOR PROSTHESIS
DE AMPUTADOS DE MIEMBROS INFERIORES.OF AMPUTADOS OF LOWER MEMBERS.
El novedoso dispositivo de rebote para prótesis de amputados de miembros inferiores, está diseñado para aplicarse en Ia industria protésica, como un complemento de protesis para mejorar las condiciones físicas y de salud mediante el ejercicio para las personas amputadas de piernas. En el campo de Ia invención existen unas botas deportivas para hacer ejercicio para personas sanas que tienen ambas piernas, según Ia descripción técnica de Ia patente de los EE.UU. No 449237 Expedida en Enero 8 de 1985 a favor de Lekhtman Et Al. Donde se describen unas botas de ejercicio para recibir los dos pies de las personas sanas, y con Ia característica de contar en Ia suela de las botas un ovalo que se comprime al recibir el impacto por el peso de las personas provocando con ello una acción de rebote. Las botas para ejercicio antes descritas fueron diseñadas para personas sanas que tiene ambas piernas, en cambio el dispositivo de rebote para prótesis de amputados de miembros inferiores, está diseñado para usarse en una sola extremidad y como complemento de Ia prótesis en uso por Ia persona amputada, Io que significa una ventaja y novedad para las personas amputadas de pierna que requieren mejorar su salud por medio de actividades físicas deportivas o recreativas y son un complemento del campo protésico. Los detalles de Ia presente invención característicos, de este novedoso dispositivo de rebote para prótesis de amputados de miembros inferiores se muestran claramente en Ia siguiente descripción y en los dibujos que Io acompañan con carácter ilustrativo y no limitativo, siguiendo los mismos signos de referencia para indicar las partes y las figuras mostradas.
