Description
TITLE OF INVENTION:
A system to improve patient compliance and adherence through regular patient reminder and medication guidance.
Field of Invention:
This invention is based on a system which will help patients remember their medication and follow an effective procedure. This will also help them with follow visit better treatment.
Basically the present invention relates to medical information and guideline systems and more particularly to a system, method and apparatus for accessing patient to clinical decisions with easy to understand.
Background of Invention:
Physicians use medical information in diagnosing diseases and treating patients. Medical information is collected from patients and may be in many different forms. A patient's medical information may consist of descriptions of the patient's present or past illnesses, laboratory data, images and any physician comments or notes. When a patient presents a physician with a medical complaint, all or part of his medical information may be used in diagnosing his illness and determining its treatment. Therefore, it is important that treating physicians gain access to a patients' medical data before diagnosing or rendering of a treatment plan. It is also important for physicians to directly communicate their findings and orders for inclusion in the patients' medical records.
Currently, the best method of accessing complete and immediate medical records is for physicians to be at the same location as their patients and their medical data. Although, there are ways to communicate medical data to physicians who are not physically located on-site, none provide a convenient, efficient and reliable method for communicating this information. While systems exist where the physician, on his own accord, can dial into a hospital database and sort through the data to obtain a particular patient's data for a particular study/test etc., no system provides a communication system methodology where data and cover information for such data is traceably delivered to the physician and such communications and associated data are tracked and auditable. None provide a method for communicating directly or indirectly patient compliance, patient adherence, and patient reminder. Further, none of the currently available methods enable physicians to directly enter orders and comments into patients' medical record from remote locations.
Prior Art:
In the existing system as given in US 2008/0021730 Al Patent application wherein A method for remotely reviewing medical data allows medical data to be transmitted to a physician's mobile device from where they are stored or collected. The method sends data to be transmitted through a console, and a data server to reach the mobile device. After reviewing the data, physicians may then transmit their comments from their mobile device to the requestor by going through the same system. This is accomplished while maintaining patient privacy according to applicable laws by using encryption and authentication methods. The method further notifies users of messages or data awaiting review along with the urgency of the required review are also described. The process of capturing a users' response, upload the response to the server, and distribute such information to one or more consoles and databases are also disclosed.
In the existing system as given in WO 2004/044701 A3R4 patent application wherein Methods, systems and apparatus are provided for; inter alia, verification of the identity of a patient undergoing healthcare administered by a healthcare practitioner. The methods include improved record and verify methods which provide for verification of healthcare data entered into a computer (200) and for the use of a paper verification sheet or log into which selected data from the computer is entered. Methods are also provided which incorporate timing out of preselected periods to ensure that healthcare-related tasks or actions, including, e.g., those involving patient identification, are carried out promptly. In addition, improved check sheets (190) or logs are provided which are specifically limited in the number of healthcare parameters to be monitored. Further, an improved document carrier (170) is provided which helps ensure that the proper documents, arranged in a desired sequence, are brought to the treatment setting.
In the existing system as given in WO 2008/011063 A2 Patent application wherein A method for securing patient medical information for communication over a potentially vulnerable system includes separating patient's medical file into a demographics layer and a data layer, separately encrypting the demographic layer and data layer using different encryption keys, and providing servers in a communication and processing system with a decryption key for the layer processed by such server. Medical file data may be separated into more than two layers. Users accessing the system are authenticated using standard techniques. By separately encrypting different parts of a patient medical record, processing and communication of patent medical files by intermediary servers is enabled without risking disclosure of sensitive patient information if such servers are compromised.
In the existing system as given in IPC8 Class: AA61B500FI, USPC CIaTs" 6003 OO'wHerein A system and method are provided for providing health care. A plurality of virtual presence devices is arranged to a corresponding plurality of customer residences, each comprising a display device; an input device having a user interface permitting selection of an available service; a camera and microphone for interactive audiovisual communication; and a computer device responsive to one of the user interface, the camera, and the microphone, to facilitate the interactive audiovisual communication over an IPTV data network. A health care contact center is in communication with the virtual presence devices, and comprises an IPTV transceiver device configured to interact and audio visually communicate with the virtual presence devices; and a processing device for receiving one of a contact request, patient data, and a telemedicine measurement from any of the virtual presence devices, and to form an audiovisual memo there from for facilitating flow of patient communication to consulting personnel
In the existing system as given in WO/2008/075122 International Application PCT/IB2006/003710
No: Wherein said,
A system for performing a teleassistance service, for example in the medical field, comprising a central system (100) for controlling and managing the service, a local system (200) for performing the service, and a telecommunication network (300) adapted to communicate the central system with the local system, wherein the local system comprises at least one sensor (220) adapted to perform measures of at least one biomedical parameter on a user and a terminal (210) adapted to communicate with the sensor for receiving information related to measure results and adapted to transmit said information to the central system through the telecommunications network, and wherein at least one between the terminal and the central system comprises a software agent (WEA) provided with a process engine (PE) for executing workflows, said agent being adapted to interact with the sensor when executing workflows.
