Abstract

부호화/복호화 방법 및 장치가 개시된다. 부호화 장치는, 데이터를 부호화하여 부호화된 데이터(encoded data)를 생성하는 부호화부; 상기 부호화된 데이터를 복호하기 위한 디코더를 구성하는 기능부(Function Unit, FU)들 및 그 연결 관계를 기술하는 디코더 디스크립션을 생성하는 디코더 디스크립션 생성부; 상기 부호화된 데이터를 복호하기 위한 디코더를 구성하는 기능부(Function Unit, FU)들 대한 FU 리스트를 생성하여 출력하는 FU 리스트 생성부; 및 상기 부호화된 데이터를 입력 받고, 상기 입력받은 부호화된 데이터에 상응하는 디코더 디스크립션, FU 리스트 및 기능부(FU)들을 입력 받아 패킷화하여 출력하는 패킷화부를 포함한다.
