 低コストで物体の速度を計測する。そのための速度計測装置は、血球を撮影するTVカメラ11と、TVカメラ11での1つのフレームにつき、当該1つのフレームの露出時間よりも短い時間だけTVカメラ11の撮影範囲内に光を照射するストロボ12と、連続する2つのフレーム間での発光タイミングの時間間隔を1つのフレームの露出時間よりも短くするとともに、各フレームでの発光状態が1つとなるように、ストロボ12の発光を制御するタイミング制御部14と、2つのフレームで得られた2つの画像から血球の移動距離を求め、当該移動距離と、前記2つのフレーム間での発光タイミングの時間間隔とから、血球の速度を算出する演算処理部151と、を備える。

Description

速度計測装置
 本発明は、速度計測装置に関する。
 近年、健康に対する関心の高まりとともに、健康のバロメータとして血液の流動性が注目されるようになっている。この血液の流動性は、一般に、血液中の血球の速度を用いて定量化される。
 血球の速度を計測する方法としては、例えば特許文献1に記載のように、血管を連続撮影して得られた複数の血流画像から血球個々の移動距離を求め、この移動距離とカメラのフレームレートの値とから血球個々の速度を算出する方法が提案されている。この方法では、フレームレートが500fpsの高速カメラが使用されている。
 また、上記方法に類似する方法として、血球以外の微細な粒子の速度を計測する方法も提案されている。このような方法としては、例えば特許文献2に記載のように、ノズルからの噴流の撮影時にストロボを高速で2回発光させ、得られた多重露出の1つの画像から噴流中の粒子の移動距離を求めて、この移動距離とストロボの発光間隔とから当該粒子の速度を算出する方法が提案されている。この方法では、1.5μsecの時間間隔でストロボが連続発光されている。
 この方法以外にも、例えば非特許文献1に記載のように、高速カメラで連続撮影された複数の気流の可視化画像をパターンマッチングすることにより、気流中の粒子個々の認識や追跡を行う必要なく、気流の二次元速度マップを作成する方法なども提案されている。

 しかしながら、上記特許文献1及び非特許文献1に記載の方法では、同一の血球又は粒子を同一の撮影範囲内で少なくとも2フレームは撮影できなければならないため、血球又は粒子の速度に応じた高価な高速カメラが必要となり、装置のコストが嵩んでしまう。
 例えば、血球の速度を計測する装置では、血球は約3~7mm/secの速度で所定の流路中を流される。流路の長さは約30μmであることから、この流路中で移動する同一の血球を2フレーム撮影して図18(a),(b)に示すような画像を得るためには、少なくとも234fps[=1/{30/(7×1000)}]のフレームレートを有する高速カメラが必要となる。つまり、フレームレートが30~60fpsの汎用カメラでは、血球の速度に対してシャッタースピードが遅いために、同一の血球を流路中で2フレーム撮影して速度を算出することができない。
 また、特許文献2に記載の方法では、高速カメラを必要とすることなく、ストロボを高速で連続発光することで粒子の速度の算出を可能としているものの、血液中の血球のように密度が高い計測対象に用いた場合には、図18(c)に示すように、複数の血球が重なった画像に多重露出されることがある。その結果、重なった血球を分離して各々を特定するといった複雑な解析処理が必要となり、解析コストが嵩んでしまう。
 本発明は、上記事情を鑑みてなされたもので、低コストで物体の速度を計測することのできる速度計測装置の提供を課題とする。
 前記の課題を解決するために、請求項1に記載の発明は、
 物体を撮影する撮影手段(カメラ)と、
 前記撮影手段での1つのフレームにつき、当該1つのフレームの露出時間よりも短い時間だけ前記撮影手段の撮影範囲内に光を照射する照射手段(ストロボ)と、
 前記照射手段を発光状態と非発光状態とに切り替える制御を行う発光制御手段と、
 前記撮影手段によって得られた画像から、移動している前記物体の速度を算出する速度算出手段と、
 を備える速度計測装置において、
 前記撮影手段は、
 1つのフレームの露出時間のうち、前記照射手段が発光している発光タイミングでの前記物体を撮影し、
 前記発光制御手段は、
 連続する2つのフレーム間での前記発光タイミングの時間間隔をフレームの撮影時間よりも短くするとともに、各フレームでの発光状態が1つとなるように、前記照射手段の発光を制御し、
 前記速度算出手段は、
 前記2つのフレームで得られた2つの画像から前記物体の移動距離を求め、当該移動距離と、前記2つのフレーム間での前記発光タイミングの時間間隔とから、前記物体の速度を算出することを特徴とする。
 請求項4に記載の発明は、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の速度計測装置において、
 前記照射手段とは異なる分光強度特性を有し、前記撮影手段での1つのフレームにつき、当該1つのフレームの露出時間よりも短い時間だけ前記撮影手段の撮影範囲内に光を照射する他の照射手段と、
 前記照射手段とは異なる組み合わせにおける連続する2つのフレーム間での、前記他の照射手段が発光している他の発光タイミングの時間間隔を、フレームの撮影間隔よりも短くするとともに、各フレームでの発光状態が1つとなるように、前記他の照射手段の発光を制御する他の発光制御手段と、
 を備え、
 前記撮影手段は、1つのフレームの露出時間のうち、前記他の発光タイミングでの当該物体を撮影するとともに、前記照射手段と前記他の照射手段とのそれぞれの分光強度特性に対応した分光感度特性を有する複数の撮像素子を有し、
 前記発光制御手段と前記他の発光制御手段とは、前記撮影手段での同一フレームの露出時間内に、発光状態が互いに異なるタイミングとなるように、前記照射手段と前記他の照射手段との発光を制御し、
 前記速度算出手段は、前記物体が前記他の照射手段から照射を受ける2つのフレームで得られた2つの画像から前記物体の移動距離を求め、当該移動距離と、当該2つのフレーム間での前記他の発光タイミングの時間間隔とから、前記物体の速度を算出することを特徴とする。
 前記の課題を解決するために、請求項7に記載の発明は、
 物体を撮影する撮影手段(カメラ)と、
 前記撮影手段の露出時間及び露出タイミングを制御する露出制御手段と、
 前記撮影手段の撮影範囲内に光を照射する照射手段と、
 前記撮影手段によって得られた画像から、移動している前記物体の速度を算出する速度算出手段と、

 前記露出制御手段は、連続する2つのフレーム間での前記露出タイミングの時間間隔をフレームの撮影間隔よりも短くなるように露出を制御し、

 前記複数の照射手段は、互いに異なる分光強度特性を有し、
 前記撮影手段は、前記複数の照射手段それぞれの分光強度特性に対応した分光感度特性を有する複数の撮像素子を有し、
 前記発光制御手段は、前記撮影手段での同一フレームの露出時間内に、前記複数の照射手段を互いに異なる発光タイミングでそれぞれ1回だけ発光状態にし、

 前記発光制御手段は、各照射手段の発光タイミング間の時間間隔が互いに異なるよう、前記複数の照射手段をそれぞれ発光状態にすることを特徴とする。
 請求項1に記載の発明によれば、1つのフレームの露出時間のうちの発光タイミングでの物体が撮影され、連続する2つのフレーム間での発光タイミングの時間間隔が1つのフレームの露出時間よりも短くなるので、この連続する2つのフレームから、フレームの撮影間隔よりも短い時間間隔の別々の画像が得られる。つまり、撮影手段のフレームレートよりも高いレートの高速撮影を行うことができる。また、各フレームでの発光状態が1つとなるよう照射手段が制御されるので、2つのフレームからそれぞれ画像が得られることになり、密度の高い物体を計測対象とした場合でも、複数の物体が重なった画像に多重露出されることがない。これにより、重なった物体を分離して各々を特定するための複雑な解析処理が不要となる。したがって、従来と異なり、高価な高速カメラも、解析コストが嵩む複雑な解析処理も不要となるため、低コストで物体の速度を計測することができる。
 請求項4に記載の発明によれば、同一フレームの露出時間内に、発光状態が互いに異なるタイミングとなるように、分光強度特性の異なる照射手段と他の照射手段との発光が制御され、これら照射手段と他の照射手段とのそれぞれの分光強度特性に対応した分光感度特性の複数の撮像素子を用いて撮影が行われる。これにより、分光感度特性が異なる複数の撮像素子それぞれにおいては多重露出されることなく、1つのフレームでの照射手段と他の照射手段とのそれぞれの分光感度特性に対応するチャンネルから別々の画像が得られる。したがって、速度の算出回数を増やして計測精度を向上させることができる。
 請求項7に記載の発明によれば、連続する2つのフレーム間での露出タイミングの時間間隔が1つのフレームの撮影間隔よりも短くなるので、この連続する2つのフレームから、フレームの撮影間隔よりも短い時間間隔の別々の画像が得られる。つまり、撮影手段のフレームレートよりも高いレートの高速撮影を行うことができる。また、各フレームでの露出状態が1つとなるよう露出制御手段により制御されるので、2つのフレームからそれぞれ画像が得られることになり、密度の高い物体を計測対象とした場合でも、複数の物体が重なった画像に多重露出されることがない。これにより、重なった物体を分離して各々を特定するための複雑な解析処理が不要となる。したがって、従来と異なり、高価な高速カメラも、解析コストが嵩む複雑な解析処理も不要となるため、低コストで物体の速度を計測することができる。
 請求項10に記載の発明によれば、同一フレームの露出時間内に、分光強度特性の異なる複数の照射手段が互いに異なる発光タイミングでそれぞれ発光状態にされ、各照射手段の分光強度特性に対応した分光感度特性の複数の撮像素子を用いて撮影が行われる。これにより、分光強度特性の異なる照射手段毎に多重露出されることなく、1つのフレームでの各分光感度特性に対応するチャンネルから、1つのフレームの露出時間よりも短い時間間隔の別々の画像が得られる。つまり、撮影手段のフレームレートよりも高いレートの高速撮影を行うことができる。また、各分光感度特性に対応するチャンネルからそれぞれ画像が得られるため、密度の高い物体を計測対象とした場合でも、複数の物体が重なった画像に多重露出されることがない。これにより、重なった物体を分離して各々を特定するための複雑な解析処理が不要となる。したがって、従来と異なり、高価な高速カメラも、解析コストが嵩む複雑な解析処理も不要となるため、低コストで物体の速度を計測することができる。
 請求項11に記載の発明によれば、各照射手段の発光タイミング間の時間間隔が互いに異なるよう、3つ以上の照射手段をそれぞれ発光状態にするので、時間間隔の異なる少なくとも2組の画像を撮ることができる。これにより、時間間隔の短い組合せの画像からは速い物体の速度を算出し、時間間隔の長い組合せの画像からは遅い物体の速度を算出することができる。つまり、速度の異なる2種類以上の物体の速度を計測することができる。

 以下、本発明の実施形態について、図を参照して説明する。
 図1は、本発明に係る速度計測装置を備える血液検査装置100の全体構成を示すブロック図である。
 この図に示すように、血液検査装置100は、血液を供給槽4からフィルタ2に通して排出槽5へ導き、その過程で取得される情報から血液中の血球の速度を計測して血液の流動性を調べるものである。
 具体的には、血液検査装置100は、主に、血球の速度を計測する速度計測装置1と、血球の速度を計測するための血液の流路であるフィルタ2と、フィルタ2内の血流を制御する差圧制御部3とを備えている。なお、本実施形態における血液検査装置100には、生理食塩水や生理活性物質などの液体を血液と混合してフィルタ2に導けるよう、ミクサー6を介して流路に連結された複数の溶液びん7等が更に具備されている。そして、生理食塩水や生理活性物質などの液体と混合した血液(以下、血液という)は、差圧制御部3が加圧ポンプ8及び減圧ポンプ9を制御してフィルタ2前後の差圧を調整することにより、フィルタ2内を所望量だけ流れるようになっている。また、上述の差圧制御部3やミクサー6の他、供給槽4のバルブ4a等は、シーケンス制御部10によって統合制御されている。
 速度計測装置1は、TVカメラ11と、ストロボ12と、フレームメモリ13と、タイミング制御部14と、パソコン(PC)15と、ディスプレイ16と、を備えている。
 TVカメラ11は、フィルタ2内を流れる血液中の血球を撮影するものであり、特に限定はされないが、フレームレート60fps(=フレーム撮影間隔1/60)での動画撮影が可能なデジタルCCDカメラである。このTVカメラ11は、フィルタ2における流路部25の所定の範囲が撮影範囲となるよう、ガラス平板24に対向して設置されており、1つのフレームの露出時間(露光時間あるいはシャッタースピードともいう)のうち、ストロボ12が発光している発光タイミングでの流路部25内の血液中の血球をガラス平板24超しに撮影する(図2参照)。また、TVカメラ11は、CCDイメージセンサである撮像素子111を有している。
 ストロボ12は、TVカメラ11の撮影範囲内に光を照射する照射手段であり、本実施形態においては、少なくとも発光時間1/3000secでの連続発光が可能なものである。フレームメモリ13は、TVカメラ11によって撮影された血流画像を記憶するための記憶手段である。
 タイミング制御部14は、TVカメラ11の撮像素子111の撮影タイミングを制御するとともに、ストロボ12を発光状態と非発光状態とに切り替えて発光タイミングを制御するものである。
 パソコン15は、TVカメラ11で撮影されフレームメモリ13で記憶されている血流画像から、移動している血球の速度を算出する演算処理部151を備えている。このような演算処理部151としては、従来より公知のものを用いることができる。また、パソコン15は、タイミング制御部14を制御可能に構成されている。ディスプレイ16は、TVカメラ11で撮影された血流画像等を表示するようになっている。
 図2は、フィルタ2の断面図である。フィルタ2は、図2に示すように、ベース板21、シリコン単結晶基板22,22、外側板23及びガラス平板24を含んで構成されている。
 ベース板21は、平板状に形成されており、中央近傍の上面と外側面とを連通する導入孔21a、及び一側端寄りの上面と外側面とを連通する排出孔21bを有している。これら導入孔21a及び排出孔21bは、ベース板21の外側面から血液チューブ(図示せず)を介して供給槽4及び排出槽5に連結されている。
 2つのシリコン単結晶基板22,22は、いずれも略平板状に形成されており、互いに所定の隙間を介した状態でベース板21の上面に並設されている。この2つのシリコン単結晶基板22,22間の隙間には、ベース板21の導入孔21aが開口している。また、シリコン単結晶基板22,22の上端部には、隆起部22aが当該シリコン単結晶基板22,22の並設方向(図中のX方向)に延在しており、この隆起部22aの上端部には、六角形状の土手部22bが頂面をガラス平板24に当接させてX方向に複数配列されている(図3参照)。
 外側板23は、シリコン単結晶基板22,22の周囲を囲んでベース板21の上面端に固定されている。外側板23とシリコン単結晶基板22,22との間には所定の隙間が設けられ、この隙間にベース板21の排出孔21bが開口している。
 ガラス平板24は、平板状に形成されており、外側板23の上面に固定されている。また、ガラス平板24の下面と隆起部22aの上面との間には、微細な流路群の流路部25が形成されている。
 図3(a),(b)は、流路部25を説明するための図である。図3(a)は流路部25を上面から見た図(平面図)であり、図3(b)は側断面図である。流路部25は、図3(a),(b)に示すように、隆起部22a上端部の複数の土手部22b,…に挟まれて形成される複数のゲート25aと、当該ゲート25aよりもフィルタ2中央側(図中の上側)の空間である上流テラス25bと、ゲート25aよりもフィルタ2外側(図中の下側)の空間である下流テラス25cとから構成されている。このうちのゲート25aの幅tは、本実施形態においては、赤血球の血球径(約8μm)よりも狭く形成されている。また、特に限定はされないが、上流テラス25b,ゲート25a,下流テラス25cにおける隆起部22a幅方向(図中のY方向)の各長さla,lb,lcは、いずれも約30μmに形成されている。
 以上の構成を具備するフィルタ2においては、供給槽4から導入孔21aを通じて導入された血液は、流路部25を通過した後、排出孔21bを通じて排出槽5へ排出されることとなる。そして、より詳細には、流路部25を流れる血液中の血球、例えば赤血球は、まず上流テラス25bを通過した後、ゲート25aを変形しながら通過し、最後に下流テラス25cを通過することとなる。
 また、フィルタ2の上流及び下流には、図1に示すように、圧力センサE1,E2が設けられており、この圧力センサE1,E2は、計測したフィルタ上流圧力P1,フィルタ下流圧力P2を差圧制御部3へ出力するようになっている。
 差圧制御部3は、シーケンス制御部10,加圧ポンプ8及び減圧ポンプ9と接続されており、シーケンス制御部10からの制御指令に応じてフィルタ2前後の差圧を制御するようになっている。より詳細には、差圧制御部3は、フィルタ上流圧力P1及びフィルタ下流圧力P2が所定の圧力となるように、フィルタ2上流の加圧ポンプ8とフィルタ2下流の減圧ポンプ9とをそれぞれ制御する。なお、この差圧制御部3やシーケンス制御部10は、パソコン15と一体に構成してもよい。
 続いて、血液検査装置100における速度計測装置1の動作について、図4(a),(b)を参照して説明する。図4(a),(b)は、速度計測装置1で血流が撮影される際のタイミングチャートである。
 まず、フィルタ2へ血液が流される。具体的には、最初に、供給槽4へ計測対象の血液が注がれるとともに、必要に応じて溶液びん7へ生理食塩水等が加えられる。そして、差圧制御部3によりフィルタ2に所定の差圧が加えられて血液がフィルタ2に流される。
 次に、フィルタ2の流路部25を通過する血流がTVカメラ11で動画撮影される。このとき、図4(a)に示すように、タイミング制御部14は、TVカメラ11の各フレームでの発光状態が1つとなるように、つまり各フレームで1回だけ発光されるように、ストロボ12の発光を制御する。より詳細には、タイミング制御部14は、ストロボ12の発光状態が、連続する第1フレームと第2フレームとの2つのフレームでの前の第1フレームの最後の時点と、後の第2フレームの最初の時点とになるとともに、いずれの時点でも1/3000secだけ発光するように、当該ストロボ12の発光を制御する。つまり、タイミング制御部14は、第1フレームと第2フレームとの境界部分で、ストロボ12を1/3000secの発光時間で連続発光させる。但し、ストロボ12の発光は、前のフレームの最後の時点と後のフレームの最初の時点とで連続していなくともよく、連続する2つのフレーム間での発光タイミングの時間間隔が、フレームの撮影間隔(フレームレートの逆数)、つまり1/60secよりも短ければよい。なお、1つのフレームの露出時間よりもストロボ12の発光時間を短くしている。つまり露出時間中にストロボ12を発光させており、その発光タイミングでの物体が撮影される。また図4(a)、(b)においては、1つのフレームの露出時間はフレームの撮影間隔とほぼ同じ時間である。
 そして、タイミング制御部14は、第1フレーム及び第2フレームと同様に、第3フレームの最後の時点と第4フレームの最初の時点とでストロボ12を発光状態にし、第5フレーム以降についても同様にストロボ12の発光を制御する。その後、タイミング制御部14は、撮影開始から1secが経過した時点で、TVカメラ11の動画撮影とストロボ12の発光とを停止させる。こうして撮影された血流画像は、フレームメモリ13に記憶され、ディスプレイ16に表示される。
 次に、血球の速度がパソコン15の演算処理部151で算出される。まず、演算処理部151は、フレームメモリ13から全ての血流画像を取り出す。それから、演算処理部151は、第1フレームと第2フレームとの2つのフレームで得られた2つの血流画像から、速度を算出する血球を特定し、これらのフレーム間での当該血球の移動距離を求める。そして、演算処理部151は、この血球の移動距離を、2つのフレーム間での発光タイミングの時間間隔、つまり1/3000secで割ることにより、血球の速度を算出する。
 このように、2つのフレームに亘ってストロボ12を高速で連続発光させることで、多重露出させることなく、フレームレート60ftpの汎用カメラを使用しながら、フレームレート3000fpsの高速カメラに相当する高速撮影での速度算出を行うことができる。
 その後、演算処理部151は、第1フレーム及び第2フレームと同様に、第3フレーム及び第4フレームで得られた画像から血球の速度を算出し、第5フレーム以降についても同様に速度を算出する。こうして、2つのフレーム毎に1回の速度算出が行われ、1sec間で約30回の速度算出が行われる。
 以上のように、本実施形態における速度計測装置1によれば、1つのフレームの露出時間のうちの発光タイミングでの物体が撮影され、連続する2つのフレーム間での発光タイミングの時間間隔がフレームの撮影間隔よりも短くなるので、この連続する2つのフレームから、フレームの撮影間隔よりも短い時間間隔の別々の血流画像が得られる。つまり、TVカメラ11のフレームレートよりも高いレートの高速撮影を行うことができる。また、各フレームでの発光状態が1つとなるようストロボ12が制御されるので、2つのフレームからそれぞれ血流画像が得られることになり、複数の血球が重なった血流画像に多重露出されることがない。これにより、重なった血球を分離して各々を特定するための複雑な解析処理が不要となる。
 したがって、従来と異なり、高価な高速カメラも、解析コストが嵩む複雑な解析処理も不要となるため、低コストで血球の速度を計測することができる。
 なお、本実施形態では、タイミング制御部14は、連続する2つのフレームでの前のフレームの最後の時点と、後のフレームの最初の時点とで、それぞれストロボ12を発光するものとしたが、図4(b)に示すように、前のフレームの最後の時点と後のフレームの最初の時点とで、ストロボ12を継続して発光状態にしておいてもよい。
 また、図示はしないが、ストロボ12に代えて1台の別のTVカメラ11を備え、各TVカメラ11に高速で開閉可能なシャッターを設けて、2台のTVカメラ11のシャッターを1/3000secだけずらして開閉させて各TVカメラ11を露出させる構成としても、上記と同様の効果を得ることができる。
 [第1の変形例]
 続いて、上記実施形態における速度計測装置1の第1の変形例について説明する。第1の変形例ではタイミング制御部14は露出時間及び露出タイミングの制御を行う。本実施形態においてはTVカメラ11は、1つのフレームのストロボ12が発光している発光時間のうちで、撮像素子111で露出している露出タイミングで、流路部25内の血液中の血球をガラス平板24超しに撮影する。図5(a),(b)は、速度計測装置1で血流が撮影される際のタイミングチャートである。
 まず、上記実施形態と同様に、フィルタ2へ血液が流される。次に、フィルタ2の流路部25を通過する血流がTVカメラ11で動画撮影される。このとき、図5(a)に示すように、タイミング制御部14は、TVカメラ11の各フレームで露出時間及び露出タイミングを制御する。より詳細には、タイミング制御部14は撮像素子111の露出タイミングを、連続する第1フレームと第2フレームとの2つのフレームでの前の第1フレームの最後の時点と、後の第2フレームの最初の時点とになるとともに、いずれの時点でも1/3000secだけ露出するように、当該撮像素子111の露出を制御する。但し、撮像素子111による露出は、前のフレームの最後の時点と後のフレームの最初の時点とで連続していなくともよく、連続する2つのフレーム間での露出タイミングの時間間隔が、フレームの撮影間隔(フレームレートの逆数)、つまり1/60secよりも短ければよい。なお、1つのフレームの露出時間よりもストロボ12の発光時間を同等以上にしている。つまり露出時間中にストロボ12を発光させており、その発光タイミングでの物体が撮影される。なお図5(b)は、図4(b)に対応する変形例である。そして図5(a)、(b)においては、1つのフレームにおける発光時間はフレームの撮影間隔とほぼ同じ時間である。つまりストロボ12は連続した照射を行っている。なお、ストロボ12に変えて光量の多いLED等の光源を用いるようにしてもよい。
 そして、タイミング制御部14は、第1フレーム及び第2フレームと同様に、第3フレームの最後の時点と第4フレームの最初の時点とで撮像素子111を露出状態にし、第5フレーム以降についても同様に撮像素子111の露出タイミングを制御する。その後、タイミング制御部14は、撮影開始から1secが経過した時点で、TVカメラ11の動画撮影とストロボ12の発光とを停止させる。こうして撮影された血流画像は、フレームメモリ13に記憶され、ディスプレイ16に表示される。
 血球の速度は、図1から図4に示した上記実施形態と同様にして、パソコン15の演算処理部151で算出される。具体的には演算処理部151は、血球の移動距離を、2つのフレーム間での露出タイミングの時間間隔、つまり1/3000secで割ることにより、血球の速度を算出する。
 このように、2つのフレームに亘って撮像素子111で連続して露出して撮影することで、多重露出させることなく、フレームレート60ftpの汎用カメラを使用しながら、フレームレート3000fpsの高速カメラに相当する高速撮影での速度算出を行うことができる。以上のように、本実施形態の第1の変形例における速度計測装置1によれば、上記実施形態と同様の効果を奏することが可能となる。
 [第2の変形例]
 続いて、上記実施形態における速度計測装置1の第2の変形例としての速度計測装置1について説明する。なお、上記実施形態と同様の構成要素には同一の符号を付し、その説明を省略する。
 図6は、第2の変形例における速度計測装置1を備える血液検査装置100の全体構成を示すブロック図である。この図に示すように、第2の変形例における速度計測装置1のストロボ12は3台のストロボから構成されている。また後述するが撮像素子111はストロボに対応した3つの撮像素子を備えている。
 このうち、3台のストロボ12は、TVカメラ11の撮影範囲内に光を照射するキセノン光源であり、本実施形態においては、少なくとも発光時間1/3000secでの連続発光が可能なものである。この3台のストロボ12は、Rストロボ12R,Gストロボ12G及びBストロボ12Bであり、図7に示すように、互いに異なる分光強度特性を有している。本実施形態においては、Rストロボ12Rは赤色光(R)を照射し、Gストロボ12Gは緑色光(G)を照射し、Bストロボ12Bは青色光(B)を照射する。その他の点については、いずれも上記実施形態におけるストロボ12と同様に構成されている。
 TVカメラ11は、1つのフレームの露出時間のうち、Rストロボ12R又はBストロボ12Bが発光している発光タイミングでの流路部25内の血液中の血球を撮影する。また、TVカメラ11は、CCDイメージセンサである3個の撮像素子111を有している。この3個の撮像素子111は、R撮像素子111R,G撮像素子111G及びB撮像素子111Bであり、図8に示すように、3台のストロボ12それぞれの分光強度特性に対応した分光感度特性を有している。本実施形態においては、R撮像素子111Rは、Rストロボ12Rからの赤色光に対してのみ高い感度を有し、G撮像素子111Gは、Gストロボ12Gからの緑色光に対してのみ高い感度を有し、B撮像素子111Bは、Bストロボ12Bからの青色光に対してのみ高い感度を有している。
 更に、TVカメラ11は、図示しない赤外カットフィルタを備えており、キセノン光源である3台のストロボ12からの赤外領域の光が、3個の撮像素子111に入射しないようになっている。その他の点については、いずれも上記実施形態におけるTVカメラ11と同様に構成されている。
 タイミング制御部14は、TVカメラ11の3個の撮像素子111の撮影タイミングを制御するとともに、3台のストロボ12を発光状態と非発光状態とに切り替えて発光タイミングを制御するものである。
 続いて、第2の変形例における速度計測装置1の動作について、図9(a),(b)及び図10(a)~(c)を参照して説明する。図9(a),(b)は、速度計測装置1で血流が撮影される際のタイミングチャートであり、図10(a)~(c)は、R撮像素子111R及びB撮像素子111Bで撮影される血流画像例を示す図である。なお、同図に示す例においてはRストロボ12R(第1ストロボとも称す)及びBストロボ12B(第2ストロボとも称す)の2台のストロボ及びこれらに対応する、2つのR撮像素子111R及びB撮像素子111Bの撮像素子により撮影を行う例である。
 まず、上記実施形態と同様に、フィルタ2へ血液が流される。次に、フィルタ2の流路部25を通過する血流がTVカメラ11で動画撮影される。このとき、図9(a)に示すように、タイミング制御部14は、TVカメラ11の各フレームでのRストロボ12R(第1ストロボ)及びBストロボ12B(第2ストロボ)の発光状態が1つとなるように、つまり、Rストロボ12R及びBストロボ12Bが各フレームで1回だけ発光されるように、当該Rストロボ12R及びBストロボ12Bの発光を制御する。但し、第1フレーム及び最終フレームでは、Rストロボ12RとBストロボ12Bとのいずれかの発光だけでよい。同時に、タイミング制御部14は、TVカメラ11での同一フレームの露出時間内に、発光状態が互いに異なるタイミングとなるように、Rストロボ12R及びBストロボ12Bの発光を制御する。
 より詳細には、タイミング制御部14は、Rストロボ12Rの発光状態が、連続する第1フレームと第2フレームとの2つのフレームでの前の第1フレームの最後の時点と、後の第2フレームの最初の時点とになるとともに、いずれの時点でも1/3000secだけ発光するように、当該Rストロボ12Rの発光を制御する。つまり、タイミング制御部14は、第1フレームと第2フレームとの境界部分で、Rストロボ12Rを1/3000secの発光時間で連続発光させる。続けて、タイミング制御部14は、Bストロボ12Bの発光状態が、連続する第2フレームと第3フレームとの2つのフレームでの前の第2フレームの最後の時点と、後の第3フレームの最初の時点とになるとともに、いずれの時点でも1/3000secだけ発光するように、当該Bストロボ12Bの発光を制御する。言い換えるとRストロボ12Rが発光状態となる連続する2つのフレームとは異なる組み合わせにおける連続する2つのフレームでBストロボ12Bを発光状態とする。つまり、タイミング制御部14は、第2フレームと第3フレームとの境界部分で、Bストロボ12Bを1/3000secの発光時間で連続発光させる。
 但し、Rストロボ12R及びBストロボ12Bの発光は、前のフレームの最後の時点と後のフレームの最初の時点とで連続していなくともよく、連続する2つのフレーム間での、同一のストロボによって続けてされた発光タイミングの時間間隔が、フレームの撮影間隔、つまり1/60secよりも短ければよい。
 そして、タイミング制御部14は、第3フレームの最後の時点と第4フレームの最初の時点とで、第1フレーム及び第2フレームにおけると同様にRストロボ12Rを発光状態にし、第4フレームの最後の時点と第5フレームの最初の時点とで、第2フレーム及び第3フレームにおけると同様にBストロボ12Bを発光状態にする。以降も同様に、Rストロボ12RとBストロボ12Bとが交互に連続発光される。その後、タイミング制御部14は、撮影開始から1secが経過した時点で、TVカメラ11の動画撮影とRストロボ12R及びBストロボ12Bの発光とを停止させる。
 こうして撮影された血流画像は、第1フレーム及び最終フレームを除く各フレームでは、Rストロボ12RとBストロボ12Bとが異なるタイミングで発光されているため、フレーム単位で見ると、図10(a)に示すように、多重露出された画像となってしまう。ところが、R撮像素子111RはRストロボ12Rからの赤色光のみに感度を有し、B撮像素子111BはBストロボ12Bからの青色光のみに感度を有しているため、Rストロボ12RとBストロボ12Bとの各発光タイミングで撮影された血流画像は、R撮像素子111RとB撮像素子111Bとでそれぞれ波長領域の異なるチャンネルに分解することができる。具体的には、R撮像素子111RによってRストロボ12Rからの赤色光で撮影された血流画像は、図10(b)に示すようなRチャンネルに格納され、B撮像素子111BによってBストロボ12Bからの青色光で撮影された血流画像は、図10(c)に示すようなBチャンネルに格納される。但し、第1フレーム及び最終フレームでは、Rストロボ12Rだけが発光されているため、Rチャンネルのみとなる。これらの血流画像は、チャンネル毎にフレームメモリ13に記憶され、ディスプレイ16に表示される。
 次に、血球の速度がパソコン15の演算処理部151で算出される。まず、演算処理部151は、フレームメモリ13から全ての血流画像を取り出す。それから、演算処理部151は、第1フレームと第2フレームとの2つのフレームで得られたRチャンネルの2つの血流画像から、速度を算出する血球を特定し、これらのフレーム間での当該血球の移動距離を求める。そして、演算処理部151は、この血球の移動距離を、2つのフレーム間での発光タイミングの時間間隔、つまり1/3000secで割ることにより、血球の速度を算出する。同様に、演算処理部151は、第2フレームと第3フレームとの2つのフレームで得られたBチャンネルの2つの血流画像から、これらのフレーム間での血球の移動距離を求め、この血球の移動距離を、2つのフレーム間での発光タイミングの時間間隔、つまり1/3000secで割ることにより、血球の速度を算出する。以降も同様に、連続する2つのフレームでの同一チャンネルの血流画像から、血球の速度が順次算出される。こうして、上記実施形態の約2倍となる、1sec間で約60回の速度算出が行われる。
 以上のように、本実施形態の第2の変形例における速度計測装置1によれば、上記実施形態と同様の効果を奏するのは勿論のこと、同一フレームの露出時間内に、発光状態が互いに異なるタイミングとなるように、分光強度特性の異なるRストロボ12RとBストロボ12Bとの発光が制御され、これらRストロボ12RとBストロボ12Bとのそれぞれの分光強度特性に対応した分光感度特性のR撮像素子111RとB撮像素子111Bとを用いて撮影が行われる。これにより、多重露出されることなく、1つのフレームでのRストロボ12RとBストロボ12Bとのそれぞれの分光感度特性に対応するチャンネルから別々の血流画像が得られる。
 したがって、速度の算出回数を増やして計測精度を向上させることができる。
 また、ストロボ12,Rストロボ12R及びBストロボ12Bは、各フレームで1/3000secだけ光を照射するものとしたが、TVカメラ11での1つのフレームにつき、当該1つのフレームの露出時間よりも短い時間だけ光を照射するものであればよい。
 また、上記実施形態の第2の変形例では、タイミング制御部14は、連続する2つのフレームでの前のフレームの最後の時点と、後のフレームの最初の時点とで、それぞれRストロボ12R又はBストロボ12Bを発光するものとしたが、図9(b)に示すように、前のフレームの最後の時点と後のフレームの最初の時点とで、Rストロボ12R又はBストロボ12Bを継続して発光状態にしておいてもよい。
 また、速度計測装置1は、赤色光及び青色光を照射するRストロボ12R及びBストロボ12Bを備えるものとしたが、これらRストロボ12R及びBストロボ12Bに代えて、白色光を出す1つのストロボと、当該ストロボからフィルタ2までの間に赤と青とに切替可能なカラーフィルタとを備え、当該カラーフィルタを切り替えつつ撮影を行うようにしてもよい。
 また、血球の速度算出には、Rストロボ12RとBストロボ12Bを発光させることにより赤色光のRチャンネルと青色光のBチャンネルとを用いるものとしたが、Gストロボ12Gも発光させて緑色光のGチャンネルを用いてもよい(図7,図8参照)。但し、多重露出されないよう、分光強度特性及び分光感度特性の波長領域が重なっていない光を用いるのが好ましい。更に、分光強度特性及び分光感度特性が互いに異なっていれば、RGBの3色でなくともよい。
 [第3の変形例]
 続いて、上記実施形態における速度計測装置1の第3の変形例としての速度計測装置1について説明する。なお、第3の変形例の構成要素のほとんどは第2の変形例と同じであり、同じ構成についてはその説明を省略する。
 図11は、血球の速度計測のフローチャートであり、図12は、血流が撮影される際のタイミングチャートであり、図13は、血球の縁(エッジ)を抽出する解析処理のフローチャートであり、図14(a)~(d)は、エッジ抽出のフローにおける血流画像例を示す図である。
 図11に示すように、まず、フィルタ2へ血液が流される(ステップS1)。具体的には、最初に、供給槽4へ計測対象の血液が注がれるとともに、必要に応じて溶液びん7へ生理食塩水等が加えられる。そして、差圧制御部3によりフィルタ2に所定の差圧が加えられて血液がフィルタ2に流される。
 次に、フィルタ2の流路部25を通過する血流がTVカメラ11で動画撮影される(ステップS2)。このとき、図12に示すように、タイミング制御部14は、TVカメラ11での同一フレームの露出時間内に、3台のストロボ12を互いに異なる発光タイミングで相互にオーバラップしないタイミングで各1回だけ発光状態にする。より詳細には、タイミング制御部14は、各フレームの最初にRストロボ12Rを1/3000secだけ発光させ、連続してGストロボ12Gを1/3000secだけ発光させ、更に連続してBストロボ12Bを1/3000secだけ発光させる。そして、タイミング制御部14は、撮影開始から1secが経過した時点で、TVカメラ11の動画撮影と3台のストロボ12の発光とを停止させる。
 こうして撮影された血流画像は、いずれのフレームでも3台のストロボ12が互いに異なるタイミングで発光されているため、フレーム単位で見ると、どれも多重露出された画像となってしまう。ところが、R撮像素子111RはRストロボ12Rからの赤色光のみに高い感度を有し、G撮像素子111GはGストロボ12Gからの緑色光のみに高い感度を有し、B撮像素子111BはBストロボ12Bからの青色光のみに高い感度を有しているため、3台のストロボ12の各発光タイミングで撮影された血流画像は、3個の撮像素子111それぞれの分光感度特性に対応するチャンネル、つまり互いに波長領域の異なるチャンネルに分解することができる。このことにより分光強度特性の異なる照射手段毎に関しては多重露出された画像とはならない。
 例えば、簡単のために2色の光で多重露出されたものとして説明すると、Rストロボ12Rからの赤色光とBストロボ12Bからの青色光とで撮影された血流画像は、フレーム単位で見ると、前述の図10(a)に示すように、多重露出された画像となる。ところが、R撮像素子111RによってRストロボ12Rからの赤色光に反応して撮影された血流画像は、図10(b)に示すように、Rチャンネルに分解して格納され、B撮像素子111BによってBストロボ12Bからの青色光に反応して撮影された血流画像は、図10(c)に示すように、Bチャンネルに分解して格納される。つまり分光感度特性の異なるチェネルそれぞれにおいて多重露出された画像とはならない。
 そして、これらの血流画像は、チャンネル毎にフレームメモリ13に記憶され、ディスプレイ16に表示される。
 次に、図11に示すように、パソコン15の演算処理部151で血流画像が解析処理され、血球のエッジが抽出される(ステップS3)。各チャンネルに分解された血流画像は各チャンネルで階調特性が異なるため(図14(a)参照)解析に誤差を生じやすい。そこで、各チャンネルで違いが生じにくい陰影を利用して血球のエッジを抽出し、血球を特定する。
 このエッジ抽出では、図13のフローチャートに示すように、まず、コントラスト調整が行われる(ステップS31)。ここでは、演算処理部151は、血流画像の明暗を各チャンネルとも同様に線形補間してダイナミックレンジを統一する。例えば、階調が8bitの場合、暗い部分を0、明るい部分を255として線形補間する。但し、チャンネル間でヒストグラムを平衡化するなどの方法を用いてもよい。このコントラスト調整により、チャンネル間で全体的な明るさが似通ってくる(図14(b)参照)。
 次に、血球のエッジのみが残るように二値化が行われる(ステップS32)。ここでは、演算処理部151は、コントラスト調整がされた血流画像を、チャンネル毎に異なる閾値を用いて二値化する。この閾値は、チャンネル毎の階調特性に適した値であり、このような閾値を用いることで、チャンネル毎の血流画像で異なる付き方となる血球のエッジを精度良く残すことができる(図14(c)参照)。
 次に、二値化されたエッジを細線化する(ステップS33)。この細線化により、チャンネル間のエッジのボケ具合の違いを無くすことができる(図14(d)参照)。この処理は、特に、複数の画像をパターンマッチングによって比較する場合に、マッチング精度を向上させやすく、有効である。
 以上により血球のエッジ抽出が終了する。
 血球のエッジが抽出されると、図11に示すように、血球の速度が演算処理部151で算出される(ステップS4)。演算処理部151は、各フレームにつき、3個の撮像素子111によって得られたチャンネル毎の3つの画像のうちの2つの画像から、この2つの画像間での血球の移動距離を求める。そして、演算処理部151は、この血球の移動距離を、各ストロボ12の発光タイミング間の時間間隔、つまり1/3000secで割ることにより、血球の速度を算出する。こうして、例えば、RチャンネルとGチャンネルとの血流画像で1回の速度算出、GチャンネルとBチャンネルとの血流画像で1回の速度算出を行った場合には、各フレームで2回の速度算出が行われ、1sec間で約120回の速度算出が行われる。
 このように、同一フレームの露出時間内に、分光強度特性の異なる複数のストロボ12を高速で連続発光させることで、多重露出させることなく、フレームレート60fpsの汎用カメラを使用しながら、フレームレート3000fpsの高速カメラに相当する高速撮影での速度算出を行うことができる。
 以上のように、本実施形態における速度計測装置1によれば、同一フレームの露出時間内に、分光強度特性の異なる3台のストロボ12が互いに異なる発光タイミングでそれぞれ発光状態にされ、各ストロボ12の分光強度特性に対応した分光感度特性が異なる3個の撮像素子111を用いて撮影が行われる。これにより、多重露出されることなく、1つのフレームでの各分光感度特性に対応するチャンネルから、1つのフレームの露出時間よりも短い時間間隔の別々の血流画像が得られる。つまり、TVカメラ11のフレームレートよりも高いレートの高速撮影を行うことができる。また、各分光感度特性に対応するチャンネルからそれぞれ血流画像が得られるため、2つのフレームからそれぞれ血流画像が得られることになり、複数の血球が重なった血流画像に多重露出されることがない。これにより、重なった血球を分離して各々を特定するための複雑な解析処理が不要となる。
 したがって、従来と異なり、高価な高速カメラも、解析コストが嵩む複雑な解析処理も不要となるため、低コストで血球の速度を計測することができる。
 また、同一フレームの露出時間内に各1回だけ3台のストロボ12が発光状態になるので、分光強度特性の異なるストロボ12毎の多重露出を確実に防止することができる。
 また、3個の撮像素子111それぞれの分光感度特性に対応するチャンネル毎に得られた血流画像が、当該チャンネル毎に異なる閾値によって二値化されるので、チャンネル毎の血流画像で異なる付き方となる血球のエッジを精度良く抽出することができる。したがって、より正確に血球を特定でき、ひいては、より正確に血球の速度を算出することができる。
 [第4の変形例]
 続いて、上記実施形態の第4の変形例について説明する。
 図15は、本変形例において血流が撮影される際のタイミングチャートである。この図に示すように、本変形例では、血流をTVカメラ11で動画撮影する際、タイミング制御部14は、各ストロボ12の発光タイミング間の時間間隔が互いに異なるよう、3台のストロボ12をそれぞれ発光状態にする。より詳細には、タイミング制御部14は、各フレームの最初にRストロボ12RとGストロボ12Gとを連続して1/3000secずつ発光させ、その後、45/3000sec空けてからBストロボ12Bを1/3000sec発光させる。
 このように3台のストロボ12を異なる時間間隔で発光させることで、速度の異なる2種類の血球についても同時に速度を計測することができる。例えば、白血球は、赤血球に比べて速度が遅く、1/3000sec間隔の高速撮影では1pix分も移動しない。そこで、本変形例のように、最後のBストロボ12Bを遅らせて発光させることで、最初のRストロボ12RとGストロボ12Gとの発光による血流画像からは赤血球の速度を算出し、次のGストロボ12GとBストロボ12Bとの発光による血流画像からは白血球の速度を算出することができる。なお、ストロボ12を増設して、速度の異なる3種類以上の血球を同時に計測してもよい。
 以上のように、本実施形態の第4の変形例における速度計測装置1によれば、上記実施形態と同様の効果を奏するのは勿論のこと、各ストロボ12の発光タイミング間の時間間隔が互いに異なるよう、3台以上のストロボ12をそれぞれ発光状態にするので、時間間隔の異なる少なくとも2組の血流画像を撮ることができる。これにより、時間間隔の短い組合せの血流画像からは速い血球の速度を算出し、時間間隔の長い組合せの血流画像からは遅い血球の速度を算出することができる。つまり、速度の異なる2種類以上の血球の速度を計測することができる。
 なお、上記実施形態及びその他の変形例においては、速度計測装置1は、血液中の血球の速度を求めるものとしたが、血球の速度でなく、微細な粒子等の物体の速度を求めるものとしてもよい。
 また、速度計測装置1は、血球を特定するために血球のエッジを抽出するものとしたが、以下のように、色の部分を利用して速度を算出してもよい。
 例えば、印刷インクや電子写真トナー,インクジェット等の色材に使用されるような、顔料で構成される粒子は、図16に示すように、シアン(C),マゼンタ(M),イエロー(Y)といった、RGBに対して補色の関係にある分光反射率を有している。そのため、この分光特性を有する粒子の速度を速度計測装置1で計測すると、図17に示すように、RチャンネルにはMとYの色材が写りやすく、Cの色材が写りにくい。GチャンネルにはCとYの色材が写りやすく、Mの色材が写りにくい。BチャンネルにはCとMの色材が写りやすく、Yの色材が写りにくい。
 そして、この特性を利用し、エッジを削除して色材の色の部分をパターンとして残した後、各チャンネルの画像を比較して速度を算出する。このとき、RチャンネルとGチャンネルとの画像では、Yの色について相関が高いため、Yの色の部分のみ速度を算出することができる。同様に、GチャンネルとBチャンネルとの画像ではCの色の部分、BチャンネルとRチャンネルとの画像ではMの色の部分の速度を算出することができる。
 このように、計測対象の物体の分光特性を利用することで、当該物体を特定する必要なく速度を算出することができる。但し、上記の方法の場合、最初に撮影されるRチャンネルと最後に撮影されるBチャンネルとでは、他のチャンネル間よりも時間間隔が長くなるため、当該チャンネル間では移動の遅い物体の速度を計測するのがよい。
 また、速度計測装置1は、RGBの各色を発光する3台のストロボ12を備えるものとしたが、これら3台のストロボ12に代えて、白色光を出す1つのストロボと、当該ストロボからフィルタ2までの間に赤と青とに切替可能なカラーフィルタとを備え、当該カラーフィルタを切り替えつつ撮影を行うようにしてもよい。
 また、3台のストロボ12は、RGBの各色を発光しないものでもよく、多重露出されないよう、分光強度特性及び分光感度特性の波長領域が重なっていない光を発光するものであればよい。
 また、その他の点についても、本発明は上記実施形態及びその変形例に限定されるものではなく、適宜変更可能であるのは勿論である。

Claims (12)

  1.  物体を撮影する撮影手段と、
     前記撮影手段での1つのフレームにつき、当該1つのフレームの露出時間よりも短い時間だけ前記撮影手段の撮影範囲内に光を照射する照射手段と、
     前記照射手段を発光状態と非発光状態とに切り替える制御を行う発光制御手段と、
     前記撮影手段によって得られた画像から、移動している前記物体の速度を算出する速度算出手段と、
     を備える速度計測装置において、
     前記撮影手段は、
     1つのフレームの露出時間のうち、前記照射手段が発光している発光タイミングでの前記物体を撮影し、
     前記発光制御手段は、
     連続する2つのフレーム間での前記発光タイミングの時間間隔をフレームの撮影間隔よりも短くするとともに、各フレームでの発光状態が1つとなるように、前記照射手段の発光を制御し、
     前記速度算出手段は、
     前記2つのフレームで得られた2つの画像から前記物体の移動距離を求め、当該移動距離と、前記2つのフレーム間での前記発光タイミングの時間間隔とから、前記物体の速度を算出することを特徴とする速度計測装置。
  2.  前記発光制御手段は、前記照射手段の発光状態が、連続する2つのフレームでの前のフレームの最後の時点と、後のフレームの最初の時点とになるように、前記照射手段の発光を制御することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の速度計測装置。
  3.  前記発光制御手段は、前のフレームの最後の時点と後のフレームの最初の時点とで、前記照射手段を継続して発光状態にしておくことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の速度計測装置。
  4.  前記照射手段とは異なる分光強度特性を有し、前記撮影手段での1つのフレームにつき、当該1つのフレームの露出時間よりも短い時間だけ前記撮影手段の撮影範囲内に光を照射する他の照射手段と、
     前記照射手段とは異なる組み合わせにおける連続する2つのフレーム間での、前記他の照射手段が発光している他の発光タイミングの時間間隔を、フレームの撮影間隔よりも短くするとともに、各フレームでの発光状態が1つとなるように、前記他の照射手段の発光を制御する他の発光制御手段と、
     を備え、
     前記撮影手段は、1つのフレームの露出時間のうち、前記他の発光タイミングでの当該物体を撮影するとともに、前記照射手段と前記他の照射手段とのそれぞれの分光強度特性に対応した分光感度特性を有する複数の撮像素子を有し、
     前記発光制御手段と前記他の発光制御手段とは、前記撮影手段での同一フレームの露出時間内に、発光状態が互いに異なるタイミングとなるように、前記照射手段と前記他の照射手段との発光を制御し、
     前記速度算出手段は、前記物体が前記他の照射手段から照射を受ける2つのフレームで得られた2つの画像から前記物体の移動距離を求め、当該移動距離と、当該2つのフレーム間での前記他の発光タイミングの時間間隔とから、前記物体の速度を算出することを特徴とする請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の速度計測装置。
  5.  前記他の発光制御手段は、前記他の照射手段の発光状態が、連続する2つのフレームでの前のフレームの最後の時点と、後のフレームの最初の時点とになるように、前記他の照射手段の発光を制御することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の速度計測装置。
  6.  前記他の発光制御手段は、前のフレームの最後の時点と後のフレームの最初の時点とで、前記他の照射手段を継続して発光状態にしておくことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の速度計測装置。
  7.  物体を撮影する撮影手段と、
     前記撮影手段の露出時間及び露出タイミングを制御する露出制御手段と、
     前記撮影手段の撮影範囲内に光を照射する照射手段と、
     前記撮影手段によって得られた画像から、移動している前記物体の速度を算出する速度算出手段と、
     を備える速度計測装置において、
     前記露出制御手段は、連続する2つのフレーム間での前記露出タイミングの時間間隔をフレームの撮影間隔よりも短くなるように露出を制御し、
     前記速度算出手段は、
     前記撮影手段が前記物体を撮影することにより前記2つのフレームで得られた2つの画像から前記物体の移動距離を求め、当該移動距離と、当該2つのフレーム間での前記露出タイミングの時間間隔とから、前記物体の速度を算出することを特徴とする速度計測装置。
  8.  前記露出制御手段は、前記撮影手段の露出タイミングが、連続する2つのフレームでの前のフレームの最後の時点と、後のフレームの最初の時点とになるように、露出を制御することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の速度計測装置。
  9.  前記照射手段は、連続発光していることを特徴とする請求項7又は8に記載の速度計測装置。
  10.  物体を撮影する撮影手段と、
     前記撮影手段の撮影範囲内に光を照射する複数の照射手段と、
     前記複数の照射手段を発光状態と非発光状態とに切り替える制御を行う発光制御手段と、
     前記撮影手段によって得られた画像から、移動している前記物体の速度を算出する速度算出手段と、
     を備える速度計測装置において、
     前記複数の照射手段は、互いに異なる分光強度特性を有し、
     前記撮影手段は、前記複数の照射手段それぞれの分光強度特性に対応した分光感度特性を有する複数の撮像素子を有し、
     前記発光制御手段は、前記撮影手段での同一フレームの露出時間内に、前記複数の照射手段を互いに異なる発光タイミングでそれぞれ1回だけ発光状態にし、
     前記速度算出手段は、前記複数の撮像素子によって得られた同一フレーム内の複数の画像から前記物体の移動距離を求め、当該移動距離と、各照射手段の発光タイミング間の時間間隔とから、前記物体の速度を算出することを特徴とする速度計測装置。
  11.  前記複数の照射手段は、3つ以上であり、
     前記発光制御手段は、各照射手段の発光タイミング間の時間間隔が互いに異なるよう、前記複数の照射手段をそれぞれ発光状態にすることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の速度計測装置。
  12.  前記速度算出手段は、前記複数の撮像素子それぞれの分光感度特性に対応するチャンネル毎に得られた画像を、当該チャンネル毎に異なる閾値を用いて二値化することを特徴とする請求項10又は11に記載の速度計測装置。
