Abstract

입력 픽처의 소정 데이터 단위의 영상 데이터를 입력받고, 입력 데이터에 대하여 소정 주파수 영역을 위한 변환 기저를 적용하는 선택적 주파수 영역 변환, 입력 데이터가 복수 개로 분할된 데이터 소단위마다 개별적으로 선택된 변환 기저를 적용한 주파수 변환을 수행하는 데이터 소단위 변환, 및 직사각 매트릭스 및 정사각 매트릭스의 결합에 의해 축소된 직사각 변환 기저를 적용한 축소 주파수 변환 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는 저복잡도 주파수 변환을 수행하여, 입력 데이터의 소정 데이터 단위에 대한 계수를 생성하여, 입력 픽처의 소정 데이터 단위에 대하여 생성된 변환 계수를 출력하는 저복잡도 주파수 변환을 이용한 비디오 부호화 방법이 개시된다.
