If the refuse being collected is non-recyclable waste, then the lid 30 to the recyclable waste compartment 28 is locked by the respective detent 46 whilst the lid 32 to the non- recyclable waste is not locked. The lifting apparatus can then invert the container 10, causing only one of the lids 32 to hinge open. The non-recyclable waste is thus emptied into the lorry. A similar process occurs for the other compartment 28 if recyclable waste is being collected.

  • the wheeled refuse storage container can be easily manoeuvred by a refuse collection person to the refuse collection lorry, and then emptied either by lifting apparatus in the case of the first embodiment or by hand in the case of the second embodiment.
  • the multiple compartments, especially in the second embodiment, are perfectly suited for separating different kinds of recyclable refuse. It is thus possible to reduce the used area taken up by separate refuse storage containers by providing a convenient all-in-one wheeled refuse storage container.

Abstract

L'invention porte sur un réceptacle de stockage de déchets muni de roues (10), qui comprend un boîtier inclinable (12), deux roues (54) au niveau d'un bord inférieur du boîtier (12) ou au voisinage de celui-ci afin de permettre un mouvement incliné du boîtier (12), une poignée de boîtier (56) au niveau d'un bord supérieur du boîtier (12) ou au voisinage de celui-ci, et au moins deux compartiments séparés à l'intérieur du boîtier pour accepter des types de déchets différents. Chaque compartiment se présente sous la forme d'un tiroir (58) pouvant être reçu coulissant dans le boîtier (12). Chacun de ces tiroirs (58) comprend une poignée avant (58) sur un côté avant pour la traction et des poignées latérales (72) sur des côtés opposés pour le transport. Des rails (75) et des canaux de forme complémentaire (78) dans lesquels les rails (76) peuvent venir en prise en coulissant sont également prévus. Un cran pour empêcher ou limiter une ouverture involontaire du tiroir est également prévu.
