Abstract

본 발명은 간단한 모듈을 사용하여 수신제한기능을 구현하는 방송 송수신기를 제안하기 위한 것으로서, 입력되는 방송신호를 복조하는 복조기와, CI 인터페이스 슬롯에 삽입되어, 복조된 방송신호에 있어서 MPEG2 트랜스포트 스트림(MPEG2 Transport Stream) 내의 적어도 일부의 방송신호를 스크램블 하는 DVB-CI 규격의 PCMCIA 스크램블러 모듈과, 상기 스크램블된 방송신호를 변조하는 변조기로 이루어진다. 또한 본 발명은, 암호화에 필요한 CW를 생성하는 컨트롤 워드 생성기와, 상기 CW에 의하여 입력되는 TS(Transport Stream)를 스크램블 하는 스크램블러와, 외부로부터 각 방송에 대한 제한정보를 규정하는 구성정보를 받아 이을 이를 TS에 싣도록 제어하는 제어 CPU와, 상기 CW를 받아 이를 암호화하고 또한 구성정보에 따라 각 방송의 신호에 대한 테이블을 생성하는 암호화 엔진 및 테이블 생성기와, 상기 암호화된 CW 및 구성정보 테이블에 따라 상기 스크램블러부터의 TS의 PMT 테이블을 변경하는 패킷 변경기로 구성되는 것을 PCMCIA 스크램블러를 제공한다.
