Abstract
Die Erfindung geht aus von einem Ortungsgerät, insbesondere einem handgeführten Ortungsgerät, mit einer Ortungseinheit (12), die zu einer Erfassung einer Materialkenngröße eines Untersuchungsobjekts (14) mittels eines Untersuchungssignals (18) entlang einer Signalrichtung (20) vorgesehen ist. Es wird vorgeschlagen, dass das Ortungsgerät eine Abstandsmessvorrichtung (22) aufweist, die zu einer Abstandsmessung entlang zumindest einer ersten, von der Signalrichtung (20) differierenden Richtung (24, 26, 106, 108) vorgesehen ist.
