Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a method for producing a welded joint between a textile fabric and a plastic part and a plastic part, to which a textile fabric according to the invention is welded, and a cable fastening device produced by means of the method according to the invention.
  • cables such as cables or hoses, possibly in a compact form such as a wiring harness, in cavities such as doors of a car must be laid without the risk that the lines during use damaged or removed from their fixation points.
  • vibrations of the lines are to be minimized in order to avoid disturbing background noise.
  • EP 1 603 210 A2 discloses a similar fastening method, wherein here the folded-over film web is not fastened by means of a mechanical fastening element to a component, but by means of a welded connection between the weldable film and a weldable component.
  • a disadvantage of the embodiments mentioned is that a relatively high production outlay is necessary in the case of a mechanical connection to be produced.
  • the investment costs for an ultrasonic welding system are relatively high and the handling of such a system, especially in hard to reach areas, is relatively difficult, thereby increasing the production time and thus the production costs.
  • Another method for attaching a tab for fixing a wire harness to a plastic part is gluing the tab on the plastic part.
  • adhesives to be kept for this purpose have only a limited shelf life and that the attachment of such tabs to hard-to-bond plastics, such as, for example, polypropylene and polypropylene-ethylene-propylene-diene rubber, can not be produced or only with inadequate quality .
  • splices usually require a longer reaction time to cure and, if necessary, a previous application of a primer is required.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object to provide a method and producible by the method plastic parts or cable fastening devices available, the method of production with low equipment costs and relatively short production time should be feasible in a simple manner.
  • a method for producing a welded joint between a textile fabric and a plastic part with at least partially existing thermoplastic properties, wherein first the textile Sheet material and the plastic part are provided on one side of the textile fabric it is provided with a cover layer comprising at least one material having a higher melting point than the plastic of the plastic part, the fabric with the cover layer opposite side applied to the plastic part is made and such a strong heat input into the cover layer and through the fabric in the plastic part, that this is at least partially melted and the textile fabric is at least partially penetrated by the plastic melt.
  • the heat input into the cover layer is preferably realized by a heat source which is brought into contact or in the immediate vicinity of the cover layer.
  • the heat transport starting from the heat source, takes place in the cover layer, through it into the textile fabric and through it into the plastic part, wherein preferably its surface is melted.
  • the melting of the plastic part takes place in the form of a weld nugget, wherein the plastic melt connects with the fibers of the textile fabric.
  • the fibers of the textile fabric are embedded in the plastic melt.
  • the fact that the textile fabric consists of a material which is not melted when introducing a quantity of heat which is sufficient for melting the plastic part arranged underneath, is merely an embedding of the textile fabric in the plastic part melt and no mixing of melts.
  • the textile fabric may be a spunbonded fabric.
  • the cover layer comprises at least one material which has a higher melting point than the plastic of the plastic part.
  • the different high melting point of the materials used is therefore necessary to prevent the cover layer is melted when heat input as the plastic part.
  • the cover layer is preferably a cover film which is removable from the textile fabric.
  • the cover layer and / or the textile fabric may have an adhesive layer on one surface, in order to allow adhesion of the respective other component to the surface.
  • materials of the plastic part can be preferably polypropylene or polypropylene-ethylene-propylene-diene rubber use.
  • a thermal welding takes place by the method according to the invention, wherein adhesion of the textile fabric to the heat source is prevented by the cover layer.
  • the cover layer prevents thermal overstressing of the textile fabric and reduces the risk that gases generated during the welding process can escape to the ambient air.
  • an applied cover layer causes the increase of the area moment of inertia in the region of the welded connection and thus an increased bending stiffness of the plastic part provided therewith in this area.
  • the cover layer itself can be used as protection against abrasive stress or climatic stress.
  • the location of the welded joint, ie the weld nugget, can be used as a primer for a further adhesive bond after the cover layer has been removed.
  • the textile fabric which is to be provided with the cover layer according to the invention can initially be provided with or without a cover layer for carrying out the method. If it is provided without a cover layer, the cover layer, optionally with the use of an adhesive layer between the cover layer and the textile fabric, can subsequently be arranged on the textile fabric. In this case, it is possible to use the fabric for conventional ultrasonic welding or, according to the present invention, to thermally weld it to a plastic part by means of a heat source, such as a soldering iron, when the additional covering layer is applied.
  • a heat source such as a soldering iron
  • a method for producing a cable attachment to a plastic part with at least partially existing thermoplastic properties wherein a textile fabric is provided for fastening the cable, the plastic part is provided, one side of the textile fabric is provided in sections with a cover layer, which comprises at least one material which has a higher melting point than the plastic of the plastic part, the textile fabric is folded over the cable so that it is double-layered on one side of the cable and the cover layer is arranged in the region of the overlapping layers of the textile fabric
  • a - is, the overlapping layers of the textile fabric with the cover layer opposite side are applied to the plastic part, such a strong heat input into the cover layer and made by the layers of the fabric in the plastic part that this is partially melted and the fabric at least is partially penetrated by the plastic melt.
  • a thermal welding for the attachment of cables - such as cables or harnesses - can be realized with little technical effort such as a soldering iron. This makes it easier to manually perform welding under unfavorable spatial conditions.
