  • the embodiments described above have been made in relation to the first user equipment (i.e. that of the law agent) being a mobile terminal such as a GSM terminal, it is noted that the invention also applies to a first user equipment in the form of an ISDN terminal instead of a mobile terminal.

  • the call established between the first user equipment MS-A and the second user equipment MS-B traverses the IMS network for one of the reasons given above.
  • the IMEI request and the IMEI itself are mapped to corresponding SIP messages and SIP headers or parameters, thereby enabling the request for IMEI and the IMEI itself to be conveyed transparently through the IMS network.

  • the request for IMEI and the IMEI itself can be conveyed transparently through an IMS network, between a calling and called party's serving MSC or Local exchange.

Abstract

L'invention porte sur un procédé qui comprend les étapes d'établissement d'une communication entre un premier équipement utilisateur et un second équipement utilisateur, d'acquisition de l'identité du second équipement utilisateur, et de fourniture de l'identité du second équipement utilisateur au premier équipement utilisateur. L'invention offre l'avantage de permettre à un agent d'application de la loi (par exemple, un officier de police ou un enquêteur) de suivre l'équipement qui est utilisé par une personne pendant une communication particulière. Lorsqu'un appel suspect est reçu, un agent d'application de la loi peut facilement renvoyer un appel à ce téléphone, même lorsque la carte SIM de ce téléphone a été échangée. Lors d'un appel d'un numéro suspect, l'officier d'application de la loi peut facilement déterminer quel dispositif répond à l'appel et déterminer ensuite quelles autres personnes (MSISDN) ont utilisé ce dispositif.
