The present invention refers to a refrigerated compartment having reduced dimensions, wherein the novelty basically resides in that said compartment comprises a compact refrigeration system (2) installed on one of the compartment walls (1 ), said system comprising a microcompressor (11, 22, 30), wherein said compartment walls (1 ) are thermoinsulated.
