Abstract
L'invention concerne un mécanisme pour restaurer sélectivement une version d'un objet d'application stocké dans une sauvegarde monolithique d'une base de données, tout en maintenant des relations hiérarchiques et d'autres relations de métadonnées de la partie restaurée de la base de données. Les modes de réalisation de la présente invention concernent un procédé, un système et un support de stockage lisible par un ordinateur qui obtiennent un mécanisme pour recevoir une demande de restaurer une version d'un objet sélectionné parmi une pluralité d'objets sauvegardés dans une sauvegarde de base de données, localiser les informations associées à l'objet sélectionné dans la sauvegarde, et restaurer la version de l'objet sélectionné vers une zone de stockage cible à l'aide des informations associées à l'objet sélectionné. Des aspects de la présente invention utilisent des métadonnées de table de base de données rassemblées à partir de la base de données sauvegardée au moment où la sauvegarde a été créée pour localiser les informations associées à l'objet sélectionné.
