Description
GLASS-HOLDERAND FITTING SYSTEM APPLIED TO GLASS- HOLDER AND OTHERACCESSORIES TO REFRIGERATORS
Field of the invention
This invention refers to a glass-holder and fitting system applied to glass- holder and other accessories of refrigerators, with the intention of providing a device capable of suspending glasses and cups at the counter-door of the freezer, so that they are cooled for the consumption of beverages, aiming a device capable of suspending the largest number possible of glasses. It consists of a trunk-conic shaped piece capable of embracing any glass shapes, and clip attached to the counter-door, such clip provided with a singular fitting system for coupling to the counter-doors of refrigerators, allowing the removal of the accessory. Background of the Invention The intuit of keeping consumption articles cooled has many application references in the state of the art, including beverages, whether packaged in bottles or boxes, and even the containers with such beverages for consumption, such as cups and glasses.
In the current state of the art, involving applications to refrigerators, it is possible to observe the presence of some types of support that basically serve to suspend bottles from their neck, glass drawers, shelves, or support to wine glasses and similar. Such features allow the accommodation of bottles or cups in a practical way, even inside freezers, allowing the cooling of these items until they are used. Various devices emphasize the cooling of bottles, for these are the most common type of package, with the most practical cooling. Others focus on the cooling of the container used to drink, such as cups. By rule, cups have a main body, where the liquid is accommodated, a flat surface, so-called 'foot', used to provide balance, and a thin stem, connecting both. Therefore, it is common to use appropriate devices to retain bottles and
cups, accommodating their thinner parts in a retainer, which allows its accommodation inside refrigerators.
However, it is important to stress the absence of devices that promote the accommodation of glasses, such as those used to drink beer, of peculiar shape, as to allow also their cooling for future consumption of beverage. These glasses, contrarily to cups, do not have a stem connecting the body with the foot, in this case with a continuous shape and body molded as to contain the liquid and also provide balance from a lower flat surface. In other words, there is not a thin part that can be accommodated in the current holding devices.
This invention is intended to meet the needs of the costumer to cool glasses and cups, regardless of their shapes and uses, such as, for instance, glasses for beer, juice, water, wine, and champagne. Another benefit of this invention is the possibility of removing the accessory for cleaning purposes, or to gain internal space when not using the device inside the refrigerator. State of Art Analysis
Document USH0002203 describes the ornamental drawing of a object- holder different from this invention due to its characteristics of shape and dimensions, in addition to not having a clip to attach onto the counter-door of fridges and similar.
Patent US7191905 exposes a shelf device whose shapes and dimensions are completely different from this invention. US Patent US7066340 present a support for bottles and are not conflicting with any characteristic of this invention, due to its function, shape, and dimensions.
Document US5711436 reveals a holder that combines a variety of glasses and cups, however not conflicting with this invention, for not having,
trunk-conic shape and for not having clips for attachment onto doors of refrigerators. Description of Figures
Figure 1 illustrates various views of the glass-holder, showing its various faces and components. Figure IA shows an upper view, where it is possible to view the support (1) in trunk-conic shape, destined to hold glasses and cups, and clip (2), destined to interact with the counter-door of the refrigerator. Figure IB shows a lower view of the glass-holder, also showing the support (1) and clip (2). Figure 1C illustrates a front view of the glass-holder, while Figure ID shows its side view. Figure IE shows a back view of the glass-holder.
Figure 2 illustrates a wide view in perspective of the glass-holder, showing the parts aligned for the junction: the support (1) and the clip (2). The clip is composed by a pin (2a) that is fitted into the receptor (2b) inside the counter-door of the refrigerator. It is also possible to visualize the fitting (3) of the support, where the pin (2a) is inserted. It is also possible to note that the receptor (2b) has an end (5) in the shape of a funnel, to facilitate the entry of the pin (2a), and two lateral rims (6) that interact with the counter- door allowing the complete fixation of the set of the clip (2) to the counter- door of the refrigerator.
Figure 3 shows a perspective view of the lower part of the glass-holder, evidencing the trunk-conic shape of the support (1) and the position of the clip (2). Detailed description of the invention This invention is related to a glass-holder accessory applied to refrigerators, with the intention of suspending glasses and cups at the counter-door of the freezer, so that these are cooled for the consumption of beverages, and whose objective is to suspend the maximum number of glasses, and not only cups with thin bases, such as wine cups, for instance.
The invention comprises a support (1), consisting of a part with trunk-conic shape, capable of embracing any shape of glass, associated with a clip (2) that is attached to the counter-door, allowing the removal of the accessory. The support (1) is characterized by its trunk-conic shape, with a front opening that allows its deformation, allowing the accommodation of thicker glasses, such as those typically used in the consumption of beer. For such, this support (1) is made of deformable material, such as plastics or metals. The support (1) is also characterized by the possibility of removal from the counter-door of the refrigerator, making use of the sliding fitting (3), and used for other purposes, such as ice scrapper, puller, lever, among other purposes that the user may find for the support (1). Another advantage of this characteristic is that the coupling relation of the support (1) with the clip (2) through the fitting (3) allows the removal for cleaning purposes and the personalization of the types of support (1) for holding goods.
To allow the fixation of the glass-holder at the counter-door of refrigerators, the support (1) is coupled by means of a clip (2), provided with a pin (2a) that is coupled into a fitting (3) contained in the support (1), and a receptor (2b) for the pin (2a), which provides its coupling onto the counter-door.
Such pin (2a) is conformed in at least two equal stems (4), having a salience that allows the coupling onto the receptor (2b), fixating the pin (2a) to the receptor (2b). Each stem (4) shall be sufficiently flexible to allow the deformation as to couple and de-couple the pin (2a) from the receptor (2b), but hard to the point of supporting the coupling of the pin (2a) with the receptor (2b). Thus, the clip (2) is made of materials that support such requirements, such as metals or plastics. The receptor (2b), on its turn, has important particularities, such as an end in the shape of a funnel (5), which allows easy access of the pin (2a) to the
receptor (2b). Additionally, in order to allow the firmness necessary at the counter-door, it has lateral rims (6) that support the receptor (2b) at the counter-door through a higher physical interaction.
This configuration of the fitting system provides flexibility that allows its application in other types and models of support, in addition to that exposed in this invention, granting versatility sui generis to the device. Therefore, other accessories subject to similar use in relation to the support (1), for holding other goods, such as tubes, plastic bags, soda cans, beer bottles, wine, ketchup, etc., may employ a fitting system as the one exposed herein, provided with a clip (2) adaptable to the counter-door or to the interior of refrigerators with the use of a pin (2a) and receptor (2b). This invention is not limited to the representations commented herein, and it must be understood in its broad scope. Many modifications and other representations of the invention will come to the mind of those familiar with the state of the art to which this invention belongs, with the benefit of the aspects learned from the prior descriptions and attached drawings. Furthermore, it must be understood that this invention is not limited to the specific shape revealed, and that modifications and other shapes are understood as included within the scope of the attached claims. Although specific terms are employed in this document, they are only used generically and descriptively, not having any limitation purpose.
