Abstract

The invention relates to a sledge for transporting elements to be assembled, especially the elements of the underbody of a motor vehicle, which are to be welded together. Said sledge comprises two longitudinal beams (1, 2) and a plurality of cross-members (4, 6) fixed to said two beams, each cross-member comprising at least two bearing points for supporting one of the elements to be assembled. The invention is characterised in that the sledge also comprises at least one independent cross-member (17, 18, 19) detachably fixed to the two longitudinal beams (1, 2) in such a way that it can be removed once the elements have been assembled.
