Description
INDUSTRIAL OVEN
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to an industrial oven.
BACKGROUND ART
It is known that industrial ovens provided with a plurality of cooking systems, such as microwave, electric resistor, hot air flow systems, etc., comprise a box-like casing, within which a cooking cavity is obtained, and a sealing door of the cooking cavity opening.
Now, one of the main problems found in these ovens consists in that a correct sealing of the opening of the cooking cavity by means of the closing door cannot be obtained over time. It is indeed known that due to the heat produced in the oven, the frame forming the opening of the cooking cavity and the frame of the door are subjected to sometimes permanent deformations (due to the thermal expansions of the various members), whereby a perfect coupling between the door and the opening of the cooking cavity cannot be obtained. It is apparent that such an imperfect coupling is detrimental to sealing, whereby both the steam and the microwaves, which may be particularly harmful for human beings, may be released.
DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION
It is the object of the present invention to provide an industrial oven which is free from the aforesaid drawbacks, i.e. which is provided with a system for achieving a perfect coupling (and thus sealing) between the door and the opening of the cooking cavity even in the presence of permanent deformations of the various elements forming the door and the aforesaid opening.
According to the present invention, an industrial oven is provided according to the features claimed in claim 1.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The present invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings, which illustrate a non-limitative embodiment thereof, in which: figure 1 is a partial, partially sectioned view of an industrial oven made according to the dictates of the present invention; figure 2 is a perspective view of a door of the oven in figure 1; figure 3 is a perspective view of a first part of the door illustrated in figure 2, with parts removed; and figure 4 is a perspective view of a second part of the door illustrated in figure 2, with parts removed.
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
With reference to figures 1 and 2, numeral 1 indicates as a whole an industrial oven provided with a plurality of cooking systems, such as microwave, electric resistor, hot air flow system, etc. Oven 1 comprises a box-like casing 2, in which a cooking cavity 3 having an inlet opening 4 is defined. Oven 1 further comprises a sealing door 5 of the opening 4. Door 5 comprises an inner door 6 provided with a guiding device 9, which engages the opening 4 in the closing position, and an outer door 7 which supports the inner door 6 by means of hinge means 8 and which is hinged by means of means 11 (of known type) onto a front panel 12 of the casing 2.
With reference to figure 2, the outer door 7 comprises a frame 13 with a rectangular development which supports a central plate 14 made of transparent material. The frame 13 comprises an upper side 15, a lower side 16 and two lateral sides 17a and 17b, of which side 17b is hinged by the means 11 to the panel 12 of the casing 2 to be able to rotate around a vertical axis.
With reference to figure 2, the inner door 6 comprises a frame 18 with a rectangular development which supports a central plate 21 made of transparent material. The frame 18 comprises an upper side 22, a lower side 23 and two lateral sides 24a and 24b, of which
side 24b, parallel to and corresponding with side 17b, is hinged by the means 8 to the side 17b of the outer door 7, to be able to rotate around a vertical axis too.
With reference to figures 1 and 2, the guiding device 9 is obtained on the inner face of the frame 18 of the door 6. In particular, the guiding device 9 comprises four disks 26 fixed by means of screws 25 close to to the vertexes defined between the sides 22, 23, 24a and 24b. The disks 26 are made of elastically deformable material. The guiding device 9 further comprises an annular seal 27 installed about an ideal line joining the four disks 26, wound around them. The seal 27 thus has a rectangular development; the seal 27 being thinner than the disks 26. Seal 27 is made of elastically deformable material and has a shorter length than that which ideally joins the four disks 26 so that the seal needs to be deformed in order to be assembled over the disks 26 and thus the assembled sealed is under tensioning conditions. It is worth noting that the disks 26 have a truncated-cone shape with the larger base at the frame 18. It is apparent that the seal 27 substantially has the same peripheral development as the opening 4 in order to obtain the sealing.
With reference to figures 3 and 4, the means 8 comprise two respectively upper and lower "L"-shaped brackets 28. The upper bracket 28 (figure 3) comprises a vertical plate 31 fixed to an inner face of the side 17b of the outer door 7 and a horizontal plate 32 which supports a first vertical threaded pin 34 by means of a bolt 33. In the upper part of the side 24b, a compartment 35 is provided to be adapted to accommodate a first cylindrical body 36 made of elastically deformable material and fitted onto the first pin 34. Similarly, the lower bracket 28 (figure 4) comprises a vertical plate 31 fixed to the inner face of the side 17b of the outer door 7 and a horizontal plate 32 which supports a second vertical threaded pin 34 by means of a bolt 33. In the lower part of the side 24b, a compartment 35 is provided to be adapted to accommodate a second cylindrical body 36 made of elastically deformable material and fitted onto the second pin 34. It is worth noting that the inner diameter of the compartments 35 is larger than the outer diameter of the respective cylindrical bodies 36.
In use, as shown in figure 1, the inner door 6 or rather the guiding device 9 closes the opening 4, and in particular the outer part of seal 27 and disks 26 engages the inner edge of the opening 4 thus obtaining a perfect sealing. In the case of deformations of frame 18 and/or opening 4, the disks 26 can easily enter into the opening 4 due to their truncated- cone shape and because they are made of elastically deformable material, and the seal 27- disk 26 assembly, together with inner door 6, adapts to the inner profile of the opening 4, due to the clearance existing between the bodies 36 and the respective compartments 35 and due to the possible deformation that the bodies 36 may undergo. In essence, the guiding device 9 adapts to a possible deformation of the opening 4 because the clearance existing between the bodies 36 and the respective compartments 35 and the possible deformation that the bodies 36 may undergo allow to recover a possible clearance created by the aforesaid deformations which may occur in inner door 6 and opening 4.
The advantages achieved by the present invention are apparent from the above description.
In particular, there is provided an industrial oven equipped with a inner door which adapts to the inner profile of the opening of the cooking cavity even in the presence of permanent deformations of the members forming the inner door and the opening. Therefore, also in the presence of the aforesaid deformations, a perfect sealing is obtained, which prevents the passage of both the steam and the microwaves outside the cavity, thus increasing the degree of safety of the oven.
It is finally apparent that changes and variants may be made to the industrial oven 1 described and shown herein without departing from the scope of protection of the present invention.
