Abstract
L'invention porte sur un trépan rotatif de forage de terre, qui comprend un corps de trépan, ayant une première région configurée pour porter une pluralité d'éléments de coupe destinés à s'engager avec une formation de terre souterraine en un premier matériau composite particules-matrice et une seconde région configurée pour la fixation à un train de tiges de forage en un deuxième matériau composite particules-matrice ayant une seconde composition de matériau, et une tige annulaire s'étendant à partir de la seconde région. Chacun parmi le premier matériau composite particules-matrice et le second matériau composite particules-matrice a une microstructure coulée. L'invention porte également sur un procédé de fabrication d'un trépan rotatif de forage de terre, lequel procédé comprend la disposition d'une pluralité de particules dures dans un moule afin de définir un précurseur de particules; l'infiltration séquentielle du précurseur de particules avec une pluralité de matériaux de matrice fondus afin de former plusieurs couches correspondantes, comprenant chacune un mélange particules-matrice; et le refroidissement des différents mélanges particules-matrice afin de solidifier les matériaux de matrice et de former le corps de trépan.
