Abstract

The invention relates to a vane pump having a housing, having a pot-shaped working chamber which is situated in the housing and which has an inner peripheral surface, having a driven rotor which is mounted eccentrically in the working chamber and which has radially running slots in which vanes are mounted in a radially movable manner, wherein each vane is pivotably mounted on a sliding block which is guided in a guide track extending within the pot-shaped working chamber, wherein the diameter of the inner peripheral surface is greater in the plane spanned by the rotational axis and the axis of the working chamber than outside said plane.
