Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine lichtemittierende Vorrichtung, insbesondere Beleuchtungseinrichtung, mit einer flächigen Anordnung von getrennt gebildeten Leuchtelementen (30, 31), die auf einem Trägersubstrat (2) jeweils eine Deckelektrode (30c, 31c) und eine Grundelektrode (30a, 31a) sowie einen hierzwischen und in elektrischem Kontakt mit der Deckelektrode und der Grundelektrode gebildeten organischen Bereich (30b, 31b) aufweisen, wobei organische Bereiche benachbarter Leuchtelemente jeweils mittels eines zugeordneten Zwischenbereiches (33) voneinander getrennt sind, einem jeweiligen die Lichtauskoppeleffizienz eines zugeordneten Leuchtelementes optimierenden Lichtauskoppelelement (4), welches auf einer Lichtaustrittsseite der Leuchtelemente angeordnet ist, und einer elektrischen Reihenschaltung mit wenigstens einem Teil der Leuchtelemente, bei der die Deckelektrode (31c) eines Leuchtelementes und die Grundelektrode (30a) eines hierzu benachbarten Leuchtelementes über eine Verbindung (32) elektrisch miteinander verbunden sind, die durch den Zwischenbereich zwischen dem Leuchtelement (31) und dem hierzu benachbarten Leuchtelement (30) hindurch gebildet ist.
